Great unit for the A8 with some modifications
Contrary to other reviews this extruder and hot end after spending some time re leveling the bed has worked great on my A8. I have had it running for about 10 hours and this model is built better than the stock version my unit came with. With that being said for this to work on the Anet A8 I did need to splice the wires for the fan because it was to short and also the hot end because it had a different connector on the motherboard. One last mod was I had to cut off the extended part of the filament guide so that it would sit inside my extruder mount.Overall 5 Stars because it does work as described and my print quality was improved, only down side is the additional labor to set it up and my unit was scuffed up and part of the heat diffuser looks ugly but I can live with that.

Works great on my anet a8 plus, just had to trim carriage.
Great upgrade, I print mostly petg so I don't need the heater block fan most of the time. If you do, this will get in the way and you'll be forced to cut the tab instead of the carriage.

Modification needed for Anet a8plus
I can’t speak for the motor as I’m using the one that was already on the printer, the extruder didn’t fit inside of the brackets for the standard hotend, the tab on the extruder arm runs into the metal.I made it fit by filing that tab off.The throat is also different length now because of the difference in extruder but that’s to be semi expected, so a new fan duct will be needed, I’m sure you can also adjust the parts to make it work if you mess with it enough.Overall it’s decent, for the price it’s not bad at allLast note. ITS HEAVY!

Complete 3D printer head kit, good quality and good value.
Bought this 3D printer head kit for my Monoprice i3 3D printer as backup spare. Assembly seems to bewell built and has all the needed wiring with connectors. Will need some soldering for heater thoughwhich is expected. Handy that 4 sized nozzles are also included. Heater is embedded into aluminumblock which looks better than the original heater in the i3 which is exposed. This kit is quality built and at a great price point.

Best upgrade so far
The print was noticeably better. It was almost a direct replacement for the Reprap Prusa i3, I had to reverse the extruder motor Molex connections (extrude and retract were reversed) and use a bit of extra wire to connect the fan to the board.

Do not buy!
I would not recommend this product. The extruder motor immediately burned up the stepper driver on the ramps board on the first layer of the first test print. The seller also warns in the product description about over tightening the thermistor retaining screw. The product came fully assembled with the screw already over tightened. This caused the temperature reading to show 0 degrees. The retaining screw was so tight it pierced the insulation causing a low resistance fault of 0.1 ohms. This is easily repaired, but attests to the poor quality and workmanship of this product. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product. It cost me time and money. It destroyed my ramps board extruder stepper driver circuit. Now I have to replace the main board and the extruder. Buy elsewhere!
