So much better than using a roller, I love this stamp to perform my own effective microneedling at home. The needles are sharp and strong, and can length can easily be adjusted, but it’s usually best to stay on the lower end for at home use. As long as you are consistent, and don’t over do it, you’ll start to see some skin improvement, but it’s not going to be overnight. I use this tool at .30mm twice a month, always first disinfect, then follow with a regenerative serum (PCRN, EGF, etc) and it’s been very helpful at improving some fine lines and dullness. This tool is disposable, not meant to be used over and over. You want those sharp needles to do minimal damage to your skin, like a razor blade. Whoa, I had no idea when I bought this that you can turn the end of the handle to support variable needle length! What a pleasant surprise. This thing is awesome. I am throwing out my old derm roller, I feel this on my scalp (not in a bad way, but it is gently pulsing, which is good means blood is flowing!) even at the same .25 mm. Contact is WAY more consistent / comprehensive with this stamp. I feel like I wasted a whole year with the derma roller. This is worth every penny!

I primarily use this for my beard region, so I'm able to fill in patches that I get when I initially grow my facial hair out. When of course I'm in the first phase, I have a few patches, but when you use this at 1.0 or 1.5 along with some minoxidil, it works like a charm. You have to be patient, ANDDDDDD persistent. Please don't expect results days after you use it. I would probably suggest waiting at least a week in between uses though if you plan on using it for collegian production. If you're going to use it to fill in patchy beard growth areas, or say on your hairline, you could maybe go with the 0.5 route and work your way to to 1.5 a week. You will bleed if you use 1.5 10 to 20 rotations on your hairline forehead area. Great derma stamp with adjustable lengths and modern design. Great for beginners and very effective on skin.

Love that it’s adjustable and not just one set length. If you are using it for your face and scalp, you are required to use different lengths and this saves you from buying multiples.

Amazon description indicates this is titanium. The box is labeled "stain steel". I will be returning it.
