First off I threw away a previous crinkle cutter because I severely cut my finger while using it. But I like crinkle cut home fries so I got this set and used extreme caution while using it. The blades are a bit small and they are almost sharp. I guess I wish they were a bit more sharp. The handles have little indentations that correspond to the way the blade cuts. This is clever. I use them on potatoes and it is a bit of a chore to get through a couple of spuds. They would easily cut cucumbers, carrots might be more difficult but not as cumbersome as a large potato.

I love to cook and I love to entertain. I plan to use all three of the Melii wavy knives for our next party over Labor Day but I couldn't wait to try them out. My hubs wanted fries so here you are. I used medium sized potatoes. I was surprised that a dull blade would cut through a hard raw potato so easily, but it did. My hand cut fries looked professional. These cutters will be great for cucumbers, radishes, carrots, parsnips, apples and any number of yummy things. These Crinkle Cutters are very nice quality, and having them with three different cutting designs will make my party platters even nicer. I can think of so many of my friends who would love to receive these as a little gift, and I am betting you can as well. Who likes to entertain? This is the little gift for them. And I can see that offering fruit and veggies to children cut in fun designs will make them more appealing to the picky eaters (aren't all children?). BUY THESE, you can't go wrong. Oh, and I love that they are made and sold by a small business of WOMEN.

I absolutely love that there are three cutters. I ordered these for French fries -- but there's so much more! Holiday vegetable and fruit platters for example! No more ordering the expensive stuff when we can make the crinkle cuts at home. But why save all the fun crinkles for the holidays? Attractive veggies, etc. are key to getting picky eaters to build good habits. Wavy veggies like carrots, peppers, and zucchini are so much more appealing. I wish I had found these sooner!

You have to put a lot of pressure when cutting the veggies such as carrots doesn’t give a clean cut. Not so sharp. Overall it did it’s intended purpose
