Comfortable & versatile
Comfort 9/10Weight adjustability 11/10This is a solid weight vest. Price point to overall quality. I use it for pull ups, dips, running on the treadmill. I am 6’ tall, 190 lbs (in shape) it fits me well, I have the straps tightened all the way for when I run with it otherwise it bounces a little. There are 16 2.5 lb weights to it. So it’s not just a 20-30-40 lb vest. It’s versatile for my use and my wife’s. For other vests weighing 40 lbs I saw a price range of 175-250+ so for the price you pay on this one AND my overall pleasure with it. It’s a STEAL.

Worth every penny for the additional calories being burned!
I love this weighted vest! I purchased this because I remember watching The Biggest Loser years ago and the finalists would have to carry the weight they'd lost at the end. At the time of this purchase I'd lost 40 lbs and wanted to see what it was like to try and carry the weight I'd lost. When the package arrived, I couldn't hardly pick it up because it was so heavy! What a moment for me! Realizing that I couldn't hardly move it, yet I'd been carrying that weight around for quite a while on a daily basis. It was a phenomenal moment, and now I'm down 60 lbs. Anyway, I chose this particular one because of the reviews. It was a little more expensive than others, but I'd rather buy something of quality. I just recently pulled it out to use it and I have started with just 10 lbs. I normally do an incline 2.5 mile walk on my treadmill every single day (from a 2% up to an 8% then back down). My typical average heart rate at the end is between 142-144 bmp. With this vest on, at just 10 lbs, it is now an average of about 155 bpm! I wish I had started using this sooner! I absolutely feel like it adds a new level to my workout, and a great sweat as well. Also, it is very comfortable to wear. It does not rub up against me or anything and is comfortable on my shoulders. I highly recommend!

Solid weight bars easy to adjust
I chose this weighted vest because it was one of few that did not use iron sand pouches. The iron sand pouches in most weighted vests evidently give off toxic smelling fumes that make the vests unusable for many. Users also report the iron sand pouches are difficult to remove and tuck back in. This vest gets a 5 star rating for it's solid iron weights. I was able to easily remove them to adjust location and total weight! For that reason alone I would buy this vest again. For the weights. However, I may end up piling these weights into my old bicycling backpack. First, the waist belt on this vest was impossible to assemble. I'm still not sure I got it right. There is a vague instruction included with a dark photo of how the waist belt looks and no detailed explanation re: how to assemble it. There are miles of velcro on this waist strap included, had to fold it three times so I had this thick belt kind of makeshift belt riding just under my ribcage. The whole thing is a bit short, doesn't go down to my waist. I am 5' 6" and weigh 112 lbs. The nylon adjustable"waist" nylon band with plastic clasp, as reported by other reviewers, slides out of place in a minute. I will have to add some kind of tape or pin to keep it secured. My other concern is the narrow neck opening. I have a skinny neck and small sloping shoulders. After my first walk, with only a few weights, the vest cut into my neck/trapezius muscles. I don't know how this works on a man with a normal sized neck. The neck opening is kind of small digging in with weight close to the neck. So, I'm a little leary about what happens when I add more weight. The vest is well constructed, with quality canvas type fabric. I'm going to try to adjust and work with it. Still glad I purchased it.

Good quality
The vest looks great, has a very sturdy feel to it. Being able to remove weights as needed is also great so I can share this with my spouse. Would recommend for anyone looking for one of these!

Get swole
Lose weight and get strong. This vest is very adjustable to your needs since it can go from 2.5 - 40 pounds. I use it for walks, squats, pushups, pull-ups, and anything else I can.

Works as intended
A little bulky but comfortable enough for a ruck. Would not run in it. One star deducted because the buckle broke with in a week of use. The Velcro keeps the vest in place.

Good design , Bad odor
Review for 30 lb. versionPROS:• easy to adjust the weight• 2.5 lb weight increments• breathable• not super bulky like a body armor vestCONS:• It smells bad with a strong industrial odor• The weights have a rough finished.• The stitching might not hold up over timeI’m 5’5” 140lbs. and the vest is a good fit for someone my size. It’s a little snug getting my head through the neck hole but it’s not a problem. There is some decent padding in the shoulders but it might not be enough if I’m wearing the vest a long time and with the vest fully loaded. The shoulder straps are not adjustable. For a smaller torso it’s a good fit. A taller person might run into issues with the waist strap sitting mid-chest.It’s more open than other vests with panels on the sides. This one is more breathable and not restrictive for pull-ups.It has 12 pockets for the weights so the total weight can be adjusted in small increments. I’m planning on using this for rucking, pullups, and dumbbell squats. It doesn’t hinder my mobility for those exercises. The waist belt is not sewn onto the vest. There are 2 shorter pieces with D rings and one long strap with Velcro ends. The short pieces Velcro onto the vest and the long strap goes through one D ring then behind your back and then through the other D ring. The strap is pretty long so it can be adjusted to a wide range for the waist size.My main complaint is a strong industrial odor, I think it’s from the paint on the metal weights. They smell like a box of crayons. The finish on the bars is rough, It’s not smooth like weights at a gym. The smell might be the paint, but the odor also soaked into the vest. I’m going to try airing everything out but the smell is pretty annoying when you are wearing the vest and constantly under your nose. If I can’t get rid of the smell I’ll have to return it.
