It seeks to give a comprehensive listing, with birthdates where possible,of the lines of descent from Edward IV and Henry VII of England and James III of Scotland. Sidenotes make it easier to follow who was child or grandchild of whom, and often include extra information. Because of intermarriage, many people appear more than once, as they have more than one line of descent from one or more of the three monarchs. A set of 134 genealogical charts and a comprehensive index help to make the book an invaluable work of reference. There is relatively little biographical information, so those interested in particular individuals will want to supplement the information in the book from other sources. In all, over 11700 people are listed.
