I use this in my oven, and it creates that perfect pizza stone crust that you can't get any other way except in a restaurant. I really love the rack that comes with it. I do want to get the appliance it is meant for but don't have it yet. In the meantime, it makes a mean medium sized pizza, two loaves of Italian bread or two baguettes, a bunch of bread sticks, or about 12 of my homemade cinnamon rolls. The trick is to always preheat the stone for a while even after the preheat indicator goes off and NEVER to use dish liquid or submerge it in dishwater. It will absorb anything you put on it. Oils, sauce, etc from cooking the pizza will just carbonize, but any soaking or cleaner will ruin the taste forever. You can wipe it with clean water, but if you only use it for baking, a stiff dry brushing occasionally will do.

this pizza stone is awesome! it works great for the woodfire grill and I have also used it in my oven as well! I wouldn't say it could hold a large pizza, but it definitely can hold a small-medium pizza or even some pizza rolls.
