Purchased for my son when dog walking or Munro climbing so not practiced mountain side, but said in the park can see clearly quite a distance so power great, fingers crossed. He loves the coloured lights to make it easy to spot if dropped, the smaller clip on version great he uses it on his dogs collar(corgi) to light his path too. Size fits comfortable in your hand, though a strap to put on your are would be thebicing on the cake, but i can make one. Easy to use, great variation on light. Build quality excellent, carry case to protect both and spare batteries excellent. Great value

Sometimes you take a punt on a product although you are sceptical that it will actually live up to the hype in the description. Well this is one such item.Nicely packaged, chunky and heavy. Well engineered and immediately feels like it’s a quality item. Then you turn it on. Simply mind blowing the brightness of it. Staggeringly bright.The pool of light is very sharp edged and when the beam is concentrated the trail of white light is almost laser like.This torch lives up to the hype. Simply amazing.

It's quite chunky and heavy, but the light output is phenomenal! Almost too good for what I need and I almost always use the reduced power. Comes in a very nice presentation box. The button on the end is slightly fiddly and you always have to cycle through the strobe setting to switch off. The battery life is excellent and I have only recharged it once. (It comes fully charged). USB C charging is a lot better and faster than previous USB's Definitely good value for the money.

I’m a delivery driver often working in the dark, in rural areas, trying to find addresses, numbers etc. and I needed a good bright torch with a bit of range. I own a good smaller led torch, but it just wasn’t strong enough so I bought this torch, and while it is bigger than my original, it is still easily carried and used, and is very bright indeed.The torch comes in its own plastic case, complete with USB charging cable, 1 rechargeable battery, and one battery holder for 3 AAA batteries (supplied). Also included is a soft carrying pouch and full instructions.The torch is solidly built and feels substantial in hand.There are 2 lights, the main front beam, and a useful side light.The switching is simple enough which can alternate between full brightness and medium brightness on both lights. The main beam also has a strobe mode, and can change between flood and spot mode by sliding the lens body in or out. *note this does not alter brightness levels, it just pinpoints the beam in spot mode, while the sidelight has a red, and red flashing function.A nice touch is the fact that unlike some multi-function torches, you don’t have to toggle your way through all the functions to eventually switch off, no matter what mode you are in, simply hold the on/off switch for a couple of seconds and it switches off.There are 4 small indicator led’s at the on/off switch indicating how much power is left in the battery.The lifting of a small rubber flap beside the on/off switch reveals the charging port, and a USB output for emergency phone charging etc.I have not really had the torch long enough to comment on battery length, and/or overall reliability and endurance (watch for future updates)**Second Update:As promised I would give an update on both durability and battery length.I have been using this torch now for just over a year, with no issues whatsoever.All in all this is a good substantial torch, it is very bright with a good range and I would recommend it.

USB port for chargingAmazon plastered the presentation box in my address label and other labels . Ruined the box! Should have posted in a bag . Bad Amazon !Torch comes with soft material carry pouch .I wouldn't have paid the full price for the torch . Comparable torches can be had cheaper . But it was on off at a substantial discount .Overall great torch 👍

The media could not be loaded. Brought this mainly for a 2.5 long tunnel near me and wanted a very bright torch (something much more substantial than my phone light). This did not disappoint, it is very bright and extremely useful in pitch black places. You can adjust the light width by using the front slide cylinder. With it all the way pushed in, it will light pretty much the whole area in front of you. As you pull the cylinder outwards, the light will become more focused, until it's all the way out when it turns into a spotlight that seems to go at least 1/4 of a mile. I went through a canal tunnel near me and took about 1 hour to walk through, and it only used 1 of the 4 bars of battery, so it seems to last for quite a while. Something I didn't realise when I received it is that the torch itself can be used as a battery charger for other things. It has a standard USB socket so you can charge your phone off it for example. The construction of it is very solid, all metal, and has a solid weight to it, all the more reassuring if you are somewhere pitch black in the dead of night, if you get my meaning. It has 3 settings, on full blast, about 60% dimmer brightness, and a flashing mode. You can get brighter ones than this, but if you are looking for a torch for night time walking, dark places, security rounds, power cuts, then this is more than enough.
