Touch controls microized
I bought this after buying a couple other micro Bluetooth speakers. Starting with Zagg Tadpole then Mpow Engine, argon btsd 13, and then this. The best thing about most of these tiny BT speakers is it fits in a pocket or some type of carrying bag. The Hoking has a nice feature that works well, the touch volume controls. Just tap them for up and down and it beeps at max. Touch and hold the plus button to advance track or minus for previous song! I like this because the speaker stays put!The paring is easy and the range is robust, about 20 feet which is through walls. It has a nice ribbed metal body that gives good grip. Their is a rubber ring on the bottom to keep it from scratching surfaces and to stay put. I have the red one and it looks very nice. Also there is a velvet like bag to keep stuff out of the slanted open speaker. Now the sound, is clear and strong but not loud enough to share with a bunch of talkative people. Maybe 2.5 time louder than iPhone 5s. Bass is just enough to give drums a little notice and the lower mids or men's voices are a little thin but the highs are a bit strong which cuts through some everyday noises.Cons: I think the only con I have is the open top. I seem to worry about things getting in there and bouncing around or just making the shiny little cone get dirty. Maybe that's a bit stupid to worry about because it's cheap and easy to replace if you really like it enough. By the way the Mpow engine sounds better and the xmini we has the most sound output but has some kind blurry distorting thing going on with it. The Hoking would make a good gift to adults. Hope this helps. Oh by the way these little speakers are not designed to be for critical listening, just for background music.
