Nice machinist tool
Selected this camera for its Macro function. Mainly for taking detail photos of small mechanical projects. A nice tool to add to a machinist tool kit.

Learn your settings before heading out to sea
Thus is a fine camera, especially as an adventure camera. It looks good and takes very good pictures underwater and above. It is a little heavy for its size but that is its tough exterior. I do have some challenges with all the options it provides. I have inadvertently pushed buttons in wrong order and found my viewing screen shrink up or disappear. Personally, I could have used a simpler camera, but I hope to grow with it.

No 16:9 format
I have to return the camera. There is no ability to take 16:9 photos. I cannot take the time to crop all the pictures every day. It is 2025...why no 16:9, simple software fix needed.

GREAT CAMERA FOR GEO TAGGING AND OUT DOOR ADVENTURE OR WORK WERE GEOTAGGING IS REQUIRED
SAME CAMERAS AS A RICOH 900SE, WHICH I HAVE BEEN USING FOR OVER 4 YEARS, SAME CAMERA, 1/3RD THE PRICE. GREAT FOR UNDER WATER, GREAT GPS SIGNAL, GEO TAGGING A MUST, HAS GREAT DURABILITY, HAVE USED THE SIMILAR 900SE IN SUB ZERO COLD AND RAIN AND WORK VERY WELL. IT ALSO ALLOWS DATE, TIME, GPS STAMPING OF PHOTOS. "BE CAREFUL ABOUT POSTING THOSE ON THE NET, ILLEGAL IN SOME COUNTRIES.IF YOU GEOTAG OR DO ANY HARD OUTDOOR PHOTO WORK, THIS CAMERA CAN HANDLE IT. LONG SHOTS ARE HARD, ZOOM IS OK OUT TO ABOUT 500 YARDS, AFTER THAT--NOT SO GOOD. REMEMBER SAME CAMERA AS THE RICOH 900SE AT 1/3RD THE PRICE.

Very Useful Scientific Camera for Botany
Great botany setup with up-close and lights for zoom in.

Buena cámara para buceo a poca profundidad
Buena cámara práctica para bucear como backup. Tiene su límite para profundidad y las fotografías que realice con macro las hace en baja calidad. El resto de las funciones son buenas

Died after 3 minutes.
Lasted 3 minutes under water and died. Was careful to follow all instructions. The compartment door was closed and latched, and seal was intact. Bought specifically for a snorkeling trip, and was without a camera for the entire trip. Will follow up with Pentax for warranty, and will update review if favorable results are obtained from Pentax.
