Highly recommend
Very sturdy easy to assemble really holds the smell. Very easy to take apart when you need to clean it. I love the cat door it really does help with the cats spray urine in there. You might have to show your cat how to go in and out . I really love the fact that it keeps the litter in the box because my cats like to dig all the way to the bottom . It's definitely sturdy because my cat jumps on it all the time trust me everything is their playground. I tried to use bag liners I wouldn't even bother because with the locking mechanism on it it doesn't work very well it's very easy to clean and get the urine smell out . It does have little filters you can put for smell I do like that about it. It's very roomy and I have two cats that use it and they're not small. Also there is a little lip you can hook a bag to the front where the door is as you are cleaning the litter box so you're not fumbling with a bag trying to hold it open and scoop at the same time.

Best litter box so far, very large, easy fold-up flap for scooping
This is the best litter box I've owned. It is a large size, both in pan space and height. It has a cover flap that not only swings back and forth for entry and exit, but also lifts up and back for when you are scooping the box, so that you don't even have to take the whole lid off to do so. I've used others that the flap is just on one hinge hanging from the lid, and sometimes gets knocked off while cats use it or is a bit stiff. This one doesn't have that problem. There is also a replaceable filter that goes into a vented area to help control odor, which is already done decently by the fact that this is a covered litter box. Some cats seem to prefer open boxes, but I think the large size of this one may help it not feel as restricting as some can. The appearance is also nice if you don't mind having a litter box in view, as opposed to ones that are built into furniture or stands to hide entirely. It is very easy to scoop and clean, the plastic is very smooth. I have not experienced anything sticking to it so far. For the quality and size, this seems a fair price, considering it should last a while, even better when on a sale.

Huge, sturdy box
Great litter box! It’s HUGE! Solid box with durable slides for detaching hood. I also use the liners from this company and they are great too. Easy to clean, just lift up the door.

All in all, a really good option
Ok, it's a cat toilet so it's hard to get super enthused about it in general, but as cat toilets go it's a really good one. I struggled for years with the automated Litter-Robot. While it seems like a good idea in theory, it turns out to be way too expensive because it has a short lifespan and is actually more work than a simple "manual" litter box. Before that, I had the kind with a rounded back that you roll half way over, and back again. Doing so sifts the litter and dumps it into a drawer. You roll it back to redistribute the litter. It requires a fair amount of room to roll and is still a pain. The Catit Jumbo is a low-tech solution that is the best and easiest to use I've owned so far. Just flip the top up, scoop crud, rake litter back in place a little, close lid. Like a lot of things in life, procrastination is your enemy. It may seem like more work to do something more often, but it's actually painless to do a little more times, than to let something build up and do it fewer times. Clean this litter box once in the morning and once when you come home, and it's actually very little work, but always clean and never stanky. Let it go for too long and things go south, as with any litter box. Combine this unite with the Litter Genie and you've got the simplest, easiest solution going for dealing with cat crap. If you add a Blackhole Cat Litter Mat to the set up, you avoid having your cat track litter away from the litter box all over your house. What makes the Catit Jumbo the optimal solution is it's size. I have one cat, but the Caitit Jumbo being so large is what makes it so good. It's huge, which makes it easy to get your hands in with plenty of room to work while avoiding the inside surfaces of a cat toilet. One downside of that for some maybe that it takes a ton of litter to fill it up to an appropriate level to keep cat pee from making its way to the bottom of the unit. I don't find that a problem because it also means that once it's filled up, it lasts a long time. Being so large and holding so much litter is especially good for one cat because it means if you miss scooping it out a time a day, or even a couple of days (or three if ya wanna push it); your cat has plenty of litter available to bury a couple days of dookie and still have a relatively clean place to go (as in won't decide to forgo a 'spoiled' litter box in favor of takin' care o' bidnez behind your sofa). The size and capacity of this unit is enough to take off for a long weekend, leave your cat on its own (if your cat is comfortable being solo for a few days) and not worry about the litter box getting completely nasty or coming home to copious stanky mess. I took a star off because the plastic is somewhat thin. My unit was just fine, but I can see where the people who gave it bad reviews because theirs arrived warped or with locks that don't function are testament to why thicker is better when it comes to large plastic structures. You might be subject to the whims of lady luck with the structural soundness of the unit that ships to your door. If you order this and are unlucky enough to get one that arrives a little cattywampus (pun intended), IMO it would be worth sending it back for a replacement, because as dookie dumpsters go, this works great. Aside from thin plastic, I think this unit could only be better if it somehow trained my cat to do a little light house work, maybe vacuum once in a while or do a load of laundry, which I think any other device that has "robot" in the name should include as an option. Maybe that's too much to ask?become

Really Pleased! (also Omega Paw comparison)
This is quickly becoming one of those products I keep raving about to friends and family. I have two senior cats--one 12-pound male and one 6-pound female. I had been using an Omega Paw for about 2 years and really liked the scoop-free hassle. However, my male has started several habits that make it pretty ineffective now, such as not covering his buried treasure and drinking so much water that clumps wouldn't fit into the tray. Punk. I tried different litters but it made no difference. It's another kitty conspiracy, really, which is nothing new, but fortunately the female goes in and covers up after him (is this not typical?). Needless to say, since I had to scoop anyway, I wanted something where I could get a little more benefit, such as with not having to take the cover off constantly or being able to see when the box needed changing. I also wanted something with a little more room. While the Omega Paw is bigger than this box by a little bit, most of the interior is taken up by a grate that sifts the litter, making it not-so ideal for large cats and probably a little less sanitary. Aside from that, I do like it but wanted to try something that would be easier for scooping. I saw the Catit box and, since I love their scratcher (also recommend), I figured I'd give it a go. I'm really happy with it so far. Actually, I've been pretty impressed. It's extremely well constructed, even better than the Omega Paw and it's the best I've seen yet. The handle is great and it has more than enough room for them--whether height, depth, or width wise. The smallest is very petite, almost the size of an 8-month-old kitten, but she can even get out of it with ease. I think the carbon filter, while a bit messy when installing, is a great feature and it does help with residual smells (not so much right after they go). So far, mine haven't tried to kill it, but they have their scratcher thingy. The filter also appears to be pretty inexpensive on here. I loved the fact that it has a convertible top, which is likely my favorite feature and the main selling point for me. This makes it extremely easy to check when it needs to be changed in my fairly dark restroom area, and it helps with being able to sift without having to take a hood off or stick your hand inside--something I really don't like, being a huge germaphobe. I can even add more litter without removing the hood, which is great since I am most lazy. While big in size, I don't feel that it takes over my tiny space where the box sits in, next to the toilet and shower stall, and less litter comes out--though it's not going to 100% prevent it. The color is also nicer and a bit more taupe than in the picture, which I prefer. The other feature I really loved while browsing was the clear door--both for the sake of preventing odors and when it came to preventing less litter from being scattered. It also allows you to see in without having to lift the hood. My cats, of course, did not want to use the box without the door since they never had one before (and the better to torture me with), so I left it off for a week, keeping the lid bearing the carbon filter folded down up top. I just tried it again tonight to see if they would use it, now that they've been using the box longer. While the more adventurous female hasn't tried yet, due to prioritized napping, the extremely timid male, who would normally be the one not to go for it, got right in. Thrilled! Especially since he is the odor culprit and prone to going right after I sift tut. I also don't smell a dang thing, even though I know he just did the stenchy bit. So I'm even more happy about it and the fact that fallout won't be wafting into my bedroom area. Finally. Therefore, I definitely recommend trying the door later if your cat doesn't take to it immediately. Other than that, I'm very pleased and highly recommend. :)

Great price, great box, from kittens to old or really fat cats. This works great! Doesn't take up A lot of room either-
Big enough for larger ( or fat ones! Lol) cats but no so big that it takes up a lot of room. I work with my local VSA & sometimes would take in kittens, cats when the shelter was full. Someone told me that the large plastic storage bins ( Walmart , target $10) without the lid, make good large cat boxes & no litter gets out! We got the clear ones & they did work well. Cats jumped right in & out no problem. Well , my cat has got a few years older & a lot fatter! The vet said it's genetic & she's predisposed to be heavy (?) , so wet grain free food diet etc. but she couldn't jump into those bins any longer! I looked at some litter boxes in the pet stores & they were cheaply made yet not cheap in price. I saw this one & gave it a try! Wow , it's great! Very sturdy & well made. The hole is wide enough for my very fat cat to get in & out easily. The top lifts for easy scooping without having to remove the whole top & unlock the sides, which is very convenient . It has a carbon filter for smells that's cheap to replace. If your cat has never had a hooded box before, the top of this lifts up & will stay up ( as I said to scoop easily) & it makes it more OPEN for cats to get use to the hood. I had no problems with any getting right in it. I went to a pets supply that I go to when I can't get my Amazon stuff as quickly as I need it, & they had this same litter box- $49.99 ! They had a smaller sized one of this that was $38 . I couldn't believe it! I bought 2 more when I got home. They are easy to clean & the litter doesn't stick to the bottom of this one, sometimes I would have sludge like spots on the bottom that were so hard to scrape off ! I clean them each day ( scoop out & wash weekly), I think it may be the litter I used? I use Dr. Elsely's litter in Blue bag 40lb for about $14 & these boxes are great! Cut down on the stinky smells sometimes from them too, with the good the carbon filter on top! Oh, also it low enough for kittens to get in, or fat cats, old cats.... I know ppl ask that on these , so yes I don't see any problem with the kittens or the older cat thats very heavy getting in this. But I don't have litter all over either! One likes to dig to China after he's done & with any normal litter box I had the Sahara dessert of litter to clean up! Hence why we got the large plastic totes , which worked wonders, until the fat one couldn't get in any longer. But I love these! No mess , easy to clean, cats love them, easy in & out for all sizes. Highly recommend . Also you can't beat this price! Seriously, pet stores are 2x at least the amount on here. ( uh I hope the don't raise the price now!! 😁) . Ps. I got the other 2 from the warehouse , said like new but a few blemishes less than 2% on top , back or side. Well I didn't notice anything except one TINY scratch on 1 side of a box & who's gonna notice or care about that?!! It was like $5-$6 cheaper! Great deal. Chk the "used" prices, they aren't actually used! Just a scratch here or there or the outer box isn't perfect. I always save money that way, it's great! Hope this helps someone & their loved furry family member! Okay well the cat. There's some pretty furry men out there that could use some manscaping , waxing, pruning,mowing- hey whatever works! Unless you like hugging a sweaty sweater. Hey, I don't judge. I'm sure it might be nice on a cold night 🐻? Anyway...... Have a great day, Jenn~

Flat out the BEST litter box EVER! It's as if actual cat owners designed this one!
This is flat out the best litter box you can get for a 5 mos old kitten to an over weight adult cat...PERIOD! First off, it is HUGE! While I was washing it before the first use i was cleaning the bottom pan and i thought I was washing the side and it was the front. If you have a big cat this is the biggest I've found. I had a big guy for 14 years & I wish I would have found this box. Now I have a 5 mos old kitten and he has no problems. I also love the height of the bottom pan as its harder for him to pee in the seam where the bottom and top connect. Secondly, the "moon roof" is just amazing! It's big enough to clean the box without taking the top pan off. I personally like to take the top off to clean it because I like to wipe off the pee from the sides with a disinfectant so I need more room than the "moon roof" allows. The third great thing is the 4 locks, 2 on each side, that lock the top to the bottom. They are solid enough that you can pick the box up with the handle (another great feature) but I would say be careful picking it up by the handle if you use alot of litter. The fourth great thing is the swinging clear door. I had initially planned to not use it but my kitty had no problem with it so I left it on since he is a digger and loves to fling the litter. It swings easily and provides him with some privacy. There is a filter on the moon roof for those who worry about odor, but I took it out as I like to know when he does his stinky business so I can get it out. Also since I left the swinging door on I like that there is some air as well as some light getting in there with the filter taken out.. Lastly, and pretty important is this is not flimsy plastic. I had an extra large Van Ness for years and thought it was the biggest on the market. It was so flimsy that it cracked once when I put too much pressure on it while trying to snap the lock. Also the locks were impossible to clean, and one of those broke as well. With this box everything is so sturdy and thick that I can't see this ever cracking like the Van Ness did. And the locks are solid too. Another thing was cleaning my old boxes locks because pee made its way onto them was impossible unless you ran water on it. With the locks on this box, you can pop them out, clean them, clean the slots on the top and bottom pans and pop them back on. It's so simple and you know everything is clean on a daily basis. The only negative thing I can think of and it was not a big deal was one of the slots that the lock slides in had some over hanging plastic from when it was molded. Therefore the lock wouldn't slide all the way. I simply took an exacto knife and trimmed it and it was perfect. Other than that, this is like actual cat owners got together and developed a litter box. If you need a litter box, you need this one. I have had 6 cats over my lifetime and at one point I had 3 and I wish I had a couple of these boxes then.

GET THIS NOW!! Great box, huge!! Puuuuurrrrffect!
THIS THING IS HUGE!!! What can I say? I love this box! So much room for my two kitties to get in and do their business. I don't use the flap on the front, my cats don't like a cat door, especially my little chubby who happens to be a very large cat. I really like that the designers took that into consideration and made this so that you can secure the door to the top. I have always used sifting liners which are excellent but my cats (really the one big cat) would constantly be pulling the bags in and scratching them up when he wanted to "bury his business". Didn't matter how many elastics I put around those things. So, this year I gave another box a try. I really did not have high hopes for this as I've been through so many "boxes" and "systems" that are supposed to be "the best". Well, this one is, quite possibly, the best!! We've had this for a while now and so far we are all happy! I also notice that with the room they have more "business" gets buried so we have fewer odor problems and there is less litter tracked on my floor. All I need now is to get a remnant rug to put under it for litter tracking and the system is perfect! I couldn't be happier! If you are looking for a pan that you do not need bags for (I can hardly believe I am not using bags anymore!! I've had cats for 27years and have always used bags of some sort or another and this is the first time I haven't and have not regretted it! I also say, don't buy cheap litter. That helps tremendously! Tidy Cat brand is not as expensive as others but the one we get by them (has black labeling) works fantastic! Doesn't break the bank and clumps very well. Still, whatever you do, make sure it clumps hard and you will be very happy, anything cheap will turn to sludge....no litter box can stop that. So, get this box, get good litter and you can be a happy cat owner as well! So glad to finally have found the ONE!!!
