Very ineffective UV bug zapper
I have other bug zappers that work very well, I wanted this one to wall mount in the hall where the flies go through on route, it looks very good and the switch would be useful, However! They just ignore it and in the weeks its been left on has not zapped one. I tested the UV output compared to my other brands and the output is very low on the test scale. Not recommended.

Bye bye unwanted bugs
The media could not be loaded. You see these zappers in a lot of cafes, but you can also use them in your home which is especially useful in the UK where we don’t have screens to keep the bugs out in the warmer months. The device is so easy to install; a bit like hanging a picture. It comes with screws and plugs, but check they are suitable for your wall. The device is not heavy. Just make sure you have access to a power socket. Then when you don’t need it you can pack it away. The device turns on easily with a pull cord which means you could put the device up higher on a wall for safety, especially if there are children around.I like the easy clean tray, which reminds me of the pull-out tray in our toasters. This is a great item, and at £26.99 (at the time of reviewing) I think it is excellent value for money.

So far so good
Senelux Electric Bug Zapper Indoor Bug Zapper Wall-mounted Fly And Insect Killer UV Light Mosquito Zapper Silent Fly Trap With Easy Pull Switch And Detachable Tray For Home Kitchen Garden Garage PatioI was a bit worried about leaving this plugged in overnight. Though that's a good time to zap a few of those pesky pantry and clothes moths. This is quite a substantial piece of kit. Low energy and glows to attract the insects. Normally summer brings hoards of flies but this year they are thin on the ground (or in the air) so this hasn't had the test it might have had, plus I don't leave it powered on when I am not around. I have a fear of fires.I like the pull switch to operate it. It can be wall mounted or it can stand on a cupboard (or similar). It's much better than using pesticides and is quiet in use too. So far so good.

There is a reason
This product gets a little star for its looks. it really is a nice design and does not look like an industrial device. It also gets a little start for its practicality. I have put this on counter tops and now on the wall. It was stable on the work top and easy to install onto the wall. That all said, it is absolutely useless at the job it was bought for. As I said, I put it in different positions to test it before mounting it on the wall. In the two to three weeks I have had it, it has not killed anything. I am pretty sure I can here the flies laughing as they fly past. Even caught one sitting on the wall next to it.It is a nice looking unit and does not look out of place on the wall, but it now just gives a pretty purple glow to one part of the kitchen wall.Box and packing went in the bin, hence why it never went back. Live and learn.I expect there are best and worse positions to install this into, but you have to work with the space available.I will keep score and if it does manage to kill anything, apart from my enthusiasm, I will update.

the flies love it
So far alll that has happened is the flies are using it as vantage point so see where to strike next. The walk all over it but avoid the dangerous part!

This is Great, Works Really Well.
I ordered the Senelux Electric Bug Zapper for my parents to use or borrow. There’s currently a terrible plague of flies in the town where they live. It’s rumoured to be emanating from a local chicken farm on the outskirts of town. I’m not sure if this is true, but it’s definitely making the town’s residents very miserable!I haven’t managed to give this device to my parents yet, but I can tell you that it worked brilliantly in my own house. The Bug Zapper is very easy to set up and works straight out of the box. You don’t even need to hang it on a wall, as it will stand on any flat surface close to a power supply. To turn the unit on and off, there is a thin cord hanging below the device. Just pull once to turn it on, and pull again to switch it off. If you would like to hang it on a wall, it comes supplied with two raw plugs and screws. Just fix these into the wall and hang the bug zapper onto the screws—it’s all very easy DIY!In order to test the bug zapper, I left it overnight in a room that had at least four flies buzzing around. In the morning, inside the removable ‘bug catching tray’ (which is a long, narrow pull-out drawer underneath the electric part of the unit), I found six dead black house flies, three little mosquitoes, and a moth! Needless to say, the bug zapper worked perfectly. It totally cleared my lounge of all visible flies, and all without chemical sprays. There’s nothing not to love about this—it’s a well-made and stylish-looking design that will fit well into anyone’s décor. I am in no doubt at all that it is a good-quality item which will do its job very well and for a very long time! Fully recommended and fully worthy of the 5 stars I have given it!For your confidence in this Vine Voice review, I am under no obligation as to what I can or cannot write and I only ever leave honest and unbiased reviews whether they be good or bad.Thank you for reading this review and I hope you find it helpful.

Zap!
This is a good looking, slimline unit that looks quite stylish and sleek and certainly looks better than the traditional design of horizontal UV tubes surrounded by electrified mesh. The unit is clearly intended for wall mounting as it is fitted with a cord-pull on/off switch although it is wide enough to be free standing, the cord operation then becomes problematic. I like the fact that you don't have to be too accurate as regards the width between the mounting screws as the back of the unit accommodates a wide range of positions. As regards effectiveness, I have zapped a few flies in the conservatory where it is installed, but the flies are thin on the ground (or in the air) this year due to the unseasonably wet weather! I will continue to monitor the kill rate, but have no concerns at the moment. Price wise, this is well priced for such a sleek zapper compared to the more industrial looking units so I am very happy as is the wife!
