i was looking for durian that wouldn't smell like durian, but would have the taste of it for a food project. this worked and it didn't smell bad and this changed my mind on durian

Ordered Durian and got Jackfruit. The package says Jackfruit but the sticker says Durian. The sticker is incorrect. Have had Durian from here before and it was good but didn’t want Jackfruit. Not returnsble.

Oh, wow, it's hard to give this a rating. There are individual packets within the larger bag. It seems fresh, it's organic and it's crunchy. So, I have to give stars for that. If you like durian, you will like this. I f you've never had it, be prepared. I know this is known for being smelly, and this is not. But the taste....first time tasting durian....and last. I had to run to the kitchen, remove it and put something else in my mouth to change the taste. Awful.

This review is for the Darlac Farms freeze dried durian bites. I hope if you are trying these, you are either familiar with durian’s taste or you are open minded. The durian bites capture the unique taste of durian (which I like) without too much of the smell. The freeze-dried texture was crunchy and fresh tasting; the pieces were not tough, dry, or old. They did taste like they were processed at their freshest, and you are left with the convenience of a snack at any time without having to process or keep fresh durian around. I liked that there were three individual packets inside the larger resealable package, and each smaller one is a very reasonable 90 calories. Durian can be hard to find, so this allows you to have easier access to good-tasting durian with an appealing texture. Give it a try. I find it to be like a mixture of sweetness and savoriness, and it’s certainly a unique fruit.

These come packaged in three separate pouches so that they stay fresh. My husband loves durian and I like it in moderation. This freeze dried fruit was mild enough for me to really enjoy, but still had enough flavor for my husband's preference. It tasted really fresh and the freeze drying gives it the texture of astronaut ice cream.

I spent some time in Malaysia as a kid and vividly remember durian. It was oh so stinky but had a decent flavor. Seeing a freeze dried version brought up some good memories and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. I shared a pack on a camping trip with my dad and we both enjoyed it. Not as stinky as the normal fruit, flavor is pretty close though.
