IMPRESSIVE!!
Shark CarpetXpert Hair Pro - This is the most well designed carpet shampooer I have ever used. Aside from that, it performs incredibly well! I love the Shark vacuums and decided to give them a try for a shampooer. It had been several months since my carpet was last cleaned and we also took in a rescue dog that was not house trained shorty after it arrived. This machine received daily use for several weeks. I shampooed my entire house and nearly every piece of furniture sometimes more than once. It removed 10+ year old stains, residual smell of pet pig and pet rat urine (iykyk), chicken coop muck and mud, grease and softball sized amounts of embedded fur. I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed! We are seriously hard on our carpet. We live on a farm with live stock, pets and kids. I’ve bought nearly every brand of shampooer out there. All of the major brands and most popular models. This machine absolutely blew them out of the water! Our carpet is 15 years old and looks BRAND NEW! The only possible downside for some might be the smaller tank. I have a shoulder injury and don’t mind the lighter weight of this one. It cleans so well that I don’t even mind emptying the tank more frequently. My carpet is fully dry in 1-2 hours! I can’t even explain how nice it is that you can easily clean every single part of this machine. 5 stars! Highly recommend! Bravo to the people that designed this one!

Good shampooer
Very little installation out of the box. Works great and has gotten a lot of dirt out of my carpets. Sleek appearance and not too bulky. Only issue is the size of the dirty water tank as it has to be emptied frequently, but it does not affect the performance outside of being inconvenient.

Exceeds expectations!
Quality material, clear simple instructions, light weight, compact and delivers a professional cleaning that I can do myself! Well worth every penny and no need to hire anyone for my carpet cleaning.

Works great for small areas
I LOVE this carpet cleaner. I had an old upright bissell and it finally broke and left a huge stain from leaving dirty water behind. This took care of it in one clean no problem. Pros: It’s smaller and easier to use than other carpet cleaners. The suction is seriously strong which is important for getting clean carpet. The quality is much better than the similar popular bissell models and it’s not much more expensive. This thing really works. Cons: the water tank and dirty water tank are on the small side and require multiple empties and refills while cleaning. There are not attachments to clean stairs or furniture.

Great shampooer
cleaned my carpets so much better than expected. I have a shark vacuum so thought I give the carpet shampooer a shot, this did not let me down. I have had 3 different brands of shampooers in my time but this one has more than met expectations. This has great suction so my carpets dried much faster and the cleanest I have ever seen them, a keeper for sure!!

Not heavy but works like it is
I use a Shark vacuum and love that brand, so I was happy to try the carpet cleaner. It does an amazing job, and the dirt isn’t all pet related. Spots I already had didn’t come out but overall I was very happy with the results! A great value especially compared to hiring it done! Easy to use - I’m 80 and can manage it just fine. But be sure to vacuum first as it will pick up all the pet hair and cause extra work to clean it out?

Must have
Best shampooed I have used. This cleans nicely. It was a bit difficult to use in the beginning. If you go too slow to pick up the water, you'll get a blinking light and it stops. No levers to hold to release the water. Just push it forward and the water/cleaner comes out. Pull backwards and up comes the nasty. I recommend using the dry only feature after you complete the cleaning. It'll pull even more water out of the carpet which will help with quicker drying time.

Not bad, but not as good as I expected
I just received my Shark CarpetXpert Hair Pro and it's OK. It's not bad, but I have a few issues with this carpet cleaner. I bought this because we have a seven-year-old dog we adopted from a shelter that is not house-trained. I already have a "Hoover Carpet Cleaner Max Extract Dual V WidePath" which works well, but is much larger and bulky. I also have a Bissell SpotClean Pro, but the hose cracked on it, and I saw this as an upgrade replacement for the Bissell where I wouldn't have to get down on the floor to use it. After one use, I don't think it's a great replacement for the Bissell or the Hoover for that matter. Pros: - It's essentially fully assembled out of the box. You just insert the handle and you're done. - It's not super loud, or at least the sound isn't as annoying as my Hoover Carpet Cleaner Max Extract Dual V WidePath - It's generally easy to operate - It's more maneuverable than my Hoover - It seems to clean well, but I can't say better than the other two cleaners - It's supposed to have a five year warranty Cons: - Too many small parts to clean when you're done using it. I really hate this part of it, honestly, both my big Hoover and my Bissell SpotClean Pro are way easier to clean up and maintain afterward. I wouldn't have bought it had I known there were so many small parts with nooks and crannies to disassemble and clean. - No trigger to spray the cleaner!!! This one really irks me. It automatically sprays when you roll it forward and sucks up the cleaner when you pull back. So what's the problem? After you've gone over a section you have to reach down and press the mode button to switch it to "dry only" to keep from spraying more water on areas you've already saturated. My Hoover and Bissell have a trigger in the handle for when you want to spray. If you don't pull the trigger, nothing sprays out, simple. Why Shark didn't copy this basic functionality is beyond me. It's kind of a pain to have to switch back and forth on the mode button. It makes no sense. - I don't think it cleans better than what I already own. It cleans, but not better than the others in my opinion. - The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Upright Carpet Cleaner, Model EX221BRN appears to be discontinued, according to the Shark website, because it's not there. In fact, I tried registering my carpet cleaner, and it said "invalid model number" when I entered it in the field online. - Attaching the bottom waste tank can be a little clunky and is not super easy to line up when re-attaching. So I'm not sold on it, I'm a little disappointed. I'm going to keep it, and maybe it will get better (or I'll get better at using it), but I have to say it's less impressive than I thought it would be. I specifically picked this one because it didn't have a hose. I'm going to fix the Bissell for my dog's "accidents". I may have to get down on all fours, but it's still easier to use and quicker than the Shark overall.

I’m so glad that I bought this! It is so easy to use and does any AMAZING job! I couldn’t believe how much dirt came out 😬 We were originally planning to replace our area rug but now don’t have to. I cleaned it with the cleaning solution that came with it and then went over it again with just warm water and the carpet now is so soft and clean! I love the just dry option. Carpet was dry in no time. As mentioned it’s so easy to use and clean after use! This is one of my best purchases!

Not working properly, works for 1 second and then shows either red or blue light, even the socket is not as per UAE specs.

Switched it on and it blew my electrics. No where in the write up or box, does it mention needing a special plug socket, see pic for plug. It’s only when you read the ‘ important safety instructions, that it tells you about the plug. No 36 - 38. It does say do not use an adapter! I did, before reading safety instructions, no harm to the machine, just my fuse board. Sending back, not fit for purpose
