Well worth the purchase!
Very helpful and incredibly well-written! The book starts off with review of basic rules, phonetics, verb tenses, examples, etc., but progresses well.

Learn Spanish without the traditional language course.
This is a great way to learn advanced Spanish.I really like the way the material is covered.Explained in English details that some text books force you to read a Spanish explanation so a lot of times you miss a full understanding because you translated incorrectly.Highly recommend!

An engaging and educational read
I really enjoyed the first person travel narrative that this book employed throughout. It made the discussion of grammar points more engaging than in a typical textbook. It gave the example sentences more context, and was just generally more enjoyable to follow than the typical presentations of advanced grammar I've seen in other books. The reading and writing tips at the end of the book were a particularly thoughtful addition as well. The biggest complaint I have with this book is actually it's formatting. Most subject headers don't get their own line break, and are printed in the same size font as the regular text (though usually in bold and/or italics). While this doesn't present any trouble when reading through the book initially, it can make coming back to a particular section more difficult to find. You may want to consider highlighting the header(s) for any topic(s) that particularly interest you or you plan to revisit, since they can be challenging to find again otherwise. My one other major complaint is that the glossary isn't in alphabetical order (in English or Spanish), so it's pretty useless.Despite these relatively minor complaints, I enjoyed the book a lot, and definitely found it worthwhile. This is a good read for any upper intermediate/lower advanced Mexican Spanish learner looking to get a better handle on advanced grammatical concepts.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest, unbiased review.

Well organized and quite thorough.
The book isn’t too dense. It covers essentials of advanced Spanish including the subjunctive, reflexive verbs and reading comprehension strategies. There’s also helpful chapter summaries and quizzes.

More English than Spanish in the book.
This book says Advanced but i would say this is more like intermediate level at the most. It has good explanations for pronunciation and grammar but most of them are written in English. There are some useful phrases to learn but I find that it doesn’t have enough exercises. This will be a good supplement book to learn grammar but not as an advanced book where you will challenge yourself to read, and exercise learning more vocab through sentence examples.

Very comprehensive
The Advanced Mexican Spanish book is a very cool resource. I've actually never seen anything like this. It's unique in that in tells a story of travel while also introducing and reinforcing various grammar concepts. I think the guide is organized well and it also offers a few exercises for readers to demonstrate their understanding of various Spanish grammar rules. I'd recommend this to anyone desiring to further their Spanish language skills.

Unique
The book was unique. The information was presented uniquely, combining a travel narrative with exploring various grammar principles. I especially appreciated the section on prefixes, suffixes, infinitives, participles, and gerunds. Overall, it was an interesting read.
