I got these so I could use my call-center-style wired headset (3.5mm plug) with my smartphone (2.5mm socket). If you don't know what I'm talking about, you were probably born in this century, use wireless everything, and consider me a relic. Oh well.As for the adapters themselves, they're compact, solidly made, and seem like they'll last a good long time. So what's not to like? You tell me.

This was a 2-pack purchase. One of the adapters wouldn't seat very well in my LG V20, but that may be because I have a giant extended battery with a plastic or rubber-like case in which I had to drill out the access to the audio jack before any 3.5mm stereo plug would fit in. I tried shaving a tiny bit more off to make these adaptors work, and that helped a little, but the 3.5mm male would still crackle and cut out, so I decided to try another set of buds that also have the micro-plug male to convert to 3.5mm, and I've never anything besides music coming out of them ever since. When I changed ear buds, I also used the second adaptor, so I can't say for sure if it was the first adaptor, the expanded hole in the case, the jack in the phone, or some combination thereof, but everything's working fine now. I still gave 5 Stars for "fit," just because I don't know what the culprit was using the first set of ear buds. I believe the benefit of the doubt should be given in any case where there is doubt, so there ya go. Otherwise, I'm a happy customer who is satisfied with this purchase.

Tried with balanced cable to 3.5mm and was not successful. YMMV.

Dont get it from amazon... its a 50/50 you might get a workable product

Ordered wrong size for ear piece. These adapters saved me from a $300 mistake

These are well made and had no deleterious effect on the sound (that’s what you want). The only downside, peculiar to my application, is that they do add length which, coming out of the bottom of my headphones, was a problem. But, that’s just physics, and in most applications will not be an issue.
