Excellent green matcha tea
I wasn't sure what to expect since I have not tried matcha green tea in a pure powder form. However, I was pleasantly surprised once I made my first cup. I have to note that the packaging method used by the manufacturers is a bit odd. The entire amount of matcha powder is delivered in a plastic bag that has been inserted into a plastic pouch. It's a bit awkward to sort through and access the powder at first. But once you get past that, drinking this tea is a pure pleasure. The instructions on the pouch were partially covered by an Amazon sticker, but I was able to remove it and follow the steps carefully. First, you add 2 grams of the ceremonial-grade (highest quality) matcha powder into a cup using the plastic spoon provided. Then, you add a little bit of warm water, about 1/4 of the cup, and mix it using a whisk or milk frother until no lumps remain. Finally, you can add the rest of the hot water or milk. The tea tastes really good, just like a proper green matcha tea I've tried before. You can also experiment with adding a bit of honey or vanilla flavour to the tea to suit your preferences. Overall, I think this is an excellent product, and I'm happy to recommend it. The quality of the matcha powder shines through, despite the slightly awkward packaging.

Ordinary matcha for an extraordinary high price. Not ceremonial grade and Chinese not Japanese
This review is for "MIDNIGHT MANTRA Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder, USDA Certified 100g." I like matcha and I know it is an expensive product. I'm not convinced by the grading on this particular one. The only reference to ceremonial grade is on the barcode labal attached to the packet - otherwise it is an ordinary matcha resealable pouch. All ceremonial grade teas I have used before have been exquisitely packaged in their own sealed tins, whilst this just seems ordinary by comparison. A plastic bag inside a resealable pouch. Ceremonial tea is all about the ceremonial process culminating in the enjoyment of a superior drinking tea at the end. A plastic bag just does not fit into this at all. It comes from China, not Japan. There is a huge difference in cultivation and manufacturing processes between the two countries, and the end product is very different. In taste, it is a perfectly ordinary green tea flavour - and thats it....ordinary. Not ceremonial grade, and certainly not worthy of a £25 price tag for a 100g product. The price at the time of review was around £24, normally £25. Since you can get 100g of genuine Japanese matcha for around £10 - this product should be cheaper than those as this is inferior quality.

tea powder
From the quality point of view, this matcha powder is made from high quality green tea as raw material, after a fine grinding process. The powder has a fine texture, bright green colour and a strong aroma of tea and the unique flavour of matcha, which makes you feel its high quality and purity at first sniff. In terms of taste, this matcha powder is even more impressive. It retains the freshness and lightness of green tea, while incorporating the slight bitterness and sweetness of matcha, resulting in a rich and long aftertaste. Whether brewed and consumed directly, or used as an ingredient in baking and desserts, it adds a unique touch of matcha flavour to food that will leave you with a long-lasting aftertaste. In addition to its delicious taste, this matcha powder is also rich in nutrients. It contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants such as tea polyphenols, which have a variety of effects such as refreshing the mind, promoting metabolism, and beautifying the skin. Consuming it in moderation over a long period of time can help to improve physical fitness and enhance immunity, making it an ideal choice for modern people in pursuit of a healthy life.

Makes lovely smooth matcha tea.
Over the years I have found the quality Ceremonial Grade Matcha powder available in the UK very hit and miss, but the MIDNIGHT MANTRA Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder makes a lovely cup of green tea. It arrived in a sealed bag within a resealable one to retain freshness, and came with a plastic one teaspoon measure. To make I sieved one teaspoon into my Japanese tea bowl, added a little water to create a paste, then filled up the bowl agitating all the time with my bamboo whisk to create a froth. The taste was very smooth and easy to drink, with a sweet aftertaste. It was very enjoyable, Midnight Mantra will become a regular drink of mine. If you have not tried Matcha tea before, this would be a good one to start with.

expensive, from China, there are better options
good quality matcha overall but it does not come from its original place of origin, Japan. This is from China. Thus, i think this matcha is expensive and there are better options that come from Japan.

Delicious and a true ceremonial matcha flavour
This matcha has a wonderful, strong green tea fragrance and a nice bitterness. I followed the instructions that came with it. The bag includes a handy measuring spoon, which is about 2 g of matcha powder. I weighed it myself, and one spoonful is about 2 g of matcha powder. The instructions recommend using 2 g of matcha with 1/4 cup of water. I made a cup of matcha tea using these measurements, and while the flavour was indeed very authentic, it's a ceremonial matcha flavour. it was a bit stronger than what I’m used to from my everyday tea. Next time, I’ll try using a little less powder to suit my taste better. It’s a good product.

Good matcha powder, but pricey. 🙃
This is a 100g pack of ceremonial grade matcha powder. It appears to be good quality and is easy to mix and use. It is good to drink as tea or lattes. You can also add it to smoothies and also use it for baking. It comes in a good resealable packet. I am happy with it, but I think at £15.99 is too pricey for only 100g. You can get it for less from other sellers on Amazon. 🙃
