I'd never used five spice prior to getting this (admittedly) big bottle of it. I'd seen prices for smaller containers, however, and decided I'd rather have a huge bottle for around the same price, and I'd just have to find ways to use it more often. Honestly, it's one of my favorite spice blends in my cabinet. It's so fragrant and pleasant smelling. The consistency in the grind has been really good so far; I haven't noticed any weird chunks/clumps, nor any foreign material or mold. It flows easily and quickly, so be careful not to over-season with it. I love the taste, it works really well to get a good flavor into the meats. Considering the cost and the quality, I'm really happy with it. I'm glad I got this big container, it'll last a long time. Great value for the cost for sure. :)

Good Quality and priced to sale. Worked well with stir frying so high heat is no issue. Good quantity, I find myself experimenting more with this and the versatility is amazing. It is already grinned down to a fine powder consistency. I will be ordering again once I get low on my supply's.

We go through a lot of pepper, especially when barbecuing. I love the benefit of buying in large containers because it’s so economical. Easy open and pour or shake. Stays fresh for a long, long time. This pepper has a really rich, deep pepper flavor and the aroma almost takes your breath away, literally! We like it a lot!

If anyone wants any red pepper - let me know. I use red pepper but not like salt. This is a huge quantity. The packaging is solid and the pepper appears of good quality. What I don't like is it doesn't dispense that easily and the flakes are bland without much heat. Update 1/11/25: OK I gave it another shot and have to change my assessment: they do carry some heat so forget my bland without much heat statement

If you're hesitant to buy spices online, get this. It is a good buy, heat and taste level. Good bulk item, I originally bought it as a racoon deterrent from my garden - not just to cook with. It does keep the raccoons away (might need to keep applying every few days), but for cooking it's perfect. Still haven't finished this off, so it lasts if you're feeding one or two people.

sweet smell, great flavor and it is the best paprika in the world. Though has a bit of heat but true hungarian paprika, the sweet kind has a bit of heat. Great buy

Good stuff!!

This ground black pepper is solid. Good flavour, strong aroma, no weird filler. It gets the job done when I don’t have the time (or patience) to grind my own. I’m all in on fresh ground pepper, the flavour’s unbeatable. But I haven’t found a grinder worth the effort. Most of them feel like I’m seasoning with hopes and prayers. When I’m making 16 quarts of soup, I don’t want to spend ten minutes grinding pepper like it’s a cardio workout. Peppercorns are great,but the tools to use them? Still waiting on a decent one. For now, this is a great alternative.

IT is not as fine as we would have liked but it is actually REAL pepper and not crushed up walnut husks or papaya seeds like other cheap mixes. In a pepper shaker we notice that there ends up being about a 5th of the contents that wont fit through the shaker. I just keep pouring that bit into another container and use it for soups etc. great strong black pepper flavour.

This stuff is spicy. A little bit goes good with chili. I personally don't like super hot so I can't add a whole lot otherwise this is decent.
