This is a really nice chess set. The drawers have cutout foam that holds each piece and the magnetic feature is great! My son is 8 and the magnet eliminates a lot of frustration. The size is perfect and we are currently displaying the board in our living room when it isn’t being used. It isn’t heavy at all and seems pretty durable. We have dropped a few pieces already and they held up well. Overall, this is a great find for the price. The only complaint we have is that the checker pieces aren’t magnetic.

Bought as gift for my 8 yr old grandson. Self taught chess player!! He loves it! His favorite gift. He’s like a little old man! He enjoys the magnetic pieces, the drawer, the wood. Great quality product, that he can someday pass down. Has some weight to it. Nice size . Very beautiful!

Very nice set! (and I am a picky one for quality) The 13” set is perfect size with beautiful pieces. Magnets are just strong enough to hold pieces in place if the board needs moved. Love the storage drawers design (instead of traditional folding board). Easy to put away captured pieces if you decide to pause the game.

Nice set, looks good. Good storage for pieces. Chess pieces look good and are magnetic, checkers are small are not magnetic. This is a nice set for the price.

My grandkids both like chess, as do I. I bought this set to display on my end table in the living room, as it is an attractive addition, plus it will remind me to enjoy playing with the grandkids. I like the magnetic pieces as I can leave them out and dust around them without causing a mess. It is well constructed and of high quality.

A great set for the price. I like that there is also checkers and not Chinese checkers with the marbles. Easy to put away and due to them being magnetic as well it is also easy to keep out when and ongoing game is in the process. The drawers work well and the pieces fit in easily.

Very nice. I'm using it as a laptop board so I jammed the felt into the drawers to stop them from sliding around. Slight mar on one of the drawers which I'll rub a little shoe polish on when I get time. Magnets good enough for my usage

The search is over- finally found the perfect 2 in 1 set! Beautiful, functional and perfect!!! Love this chess and checkers set, and has been a blessing for our family! Love the drawers and pre-fitted holes for the game pieces! High recommend!

Este ajedrez de madera no plegable es un excelente tablero para partidas casuales o análisis en espacios más o menos reducidos sin superficies firmes. He aquí una reseña de este tablero, con sus puntos buenos y malos. Puntos negativos: 1. Es un ajedrez algo pesado y voluminoso. Al ser de una pieza de madera de 30 cm de lado con cajones a los lados, se puede complicar un poco su traslado. 2. De no prestar atención a los cajones, se pueden abrir y tirar las piezas. Puntos positivos: 1. Todo el juego (tablero, cajones y piezas) está muy bien elaborado y tallado. No hay astillas ni defectos de fabricación. Los fieltros colocados en las bases de las piezas ayudan a su deslizamiento y disminuyen el riesgo de rayar la superficie del tablero. Los dos tipos de madera contrastan muy bien y no cansan la vista. 2. Los imanes de las piezas son fuertes y éstas se fijan bien al tablero. 3. Los cajones ayudan a guardar las piezas cuando no están en juego, se deslizan muy bien, y el diseño interno ayuda a verificar si faltan piezas. Ampliamente recomendado y aunque su precio es elevado en comparación con otros ajedreces de su clase, la atención al detalle y la calidad de su manufactura ampliamente lo compensan.
