You won't be disappointed! - Overall, for the $45 I spent on this watch, I feel like I won the watch lottery. It looks equally amazing in jeans and t-shirt as it does in my suit and tie when I go to work. It has an understated coolness/elegance to it. I definitely recommend this quality, reliable, beautiful Timex Expedition Scout 43mm as a daily wear watch or as an occasional wear in your collection rotation! I have an extensive watch collection (regular person watches, nothing "luxury" ... that's a laughable term for a watch, IMO). I have all categories of quartz watches; dive, pro dive, dress, casual, vintage/retro, knock-about, etc., with all bracelet/strap types and I was surprised that this watch has emerged as my absolute favorite of all of them. I think it is the perfect size (43mm wide and 11mm thick case) and the black coated brass case is gorgeous, lightweight, and durable. The main numbers and indices are large and very readable at a glance. Readability is further helped by the contrast between the black dial and the white number and indices. The dial includes an inner circle of smaller numbers that show military time, which is useful. The seconds hand has an orange tip, making it very easy to see against the background. The medium brown leather strap has beautiful contrast stitching and a case-matching black buckle, which I thick looks amazing. The leather seems to be good quality and I think it will look even better as it ages and becomes softer and wrinkled. There is no lume on the watch but it comes with Timex's excellent Indiglo lighting, which works just fine in the dark. The date window kind of blends in with all the numbers and indices but once you get used to where it sits on the dial, it's no problem to see. This watch looks SO MUCH BETTER in real life than in these photos. In fact, the case almost looks gray in the photos, but it's a very nice dark black color in real life. It has a mineral glass crystal, which is fine and expected for the price, but you could easily replace that with sapphire if you ever wanted to. The movement is a reliable Myota quartz movement. Review: Nice Watch_Good Price - I've only had the watch a short period of time so I can't say much about it's longevity but as far as the quality, functionality & look are all exceptional. So far it's keeping accurate time & I really like the indago feature & so far it's working fine. The one thing I will say though is the real leather band will take some time to break in. That aside & considering I got it at a discounted price, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Timex is still my favorite watch
Well, I love my Timex Expedition Scout. It's not made in the USA anymore though. Nowadays it has been made in Philippines. But I still love this watch. It's a easy reader model, since I wear reading glasses, this help me a lot. The watch strap is rough, I like this touch. The mineral glass is helpful too, since it avoid scratches. I my opinion this is a great every day watch. I recommend. Good price for it. If you want a reliable watch, go for it.

Solid watch with a long band; easy to read, but the band feels cheap. Great value for the price.
The Timex Expedition Scout is a solid choice for a watch. The band is long enough to comfortably fit my larger wrists, which is a significant plus. It's easy to set, stylish, and very readable. Band Quality However, I do have a couple of concerns. Although the band is lengthy, it feels somewhat cheap, and I've noticed that the holes are wearing down a bit. Overall Impression Despite these drawbacks, I believe this watch offers great value for the price. It’s a simple yet well-made piece that I expect will last for a long time. Overall, I’m quite pleased with my purchase.

Date feature stopped working. Glow feature stopped working. Loud.
I chose this watch because while not "cheap," it wasn't bank-breaking expensive either. I'm an EMT and firefighter, and when I'm on duty, I need a watch that I won't be too upset if it breaks or gets damaged with some abuse. However, this watch never even got the opportunity to be "abused" because the important features stopped working so quickly after buying, it barely got any field time. Right outside of the return window, both the date function and the glow function stopped working. The internal mechanics have also gotten noticeably louder, and the IRREPLACEABLE band (that's right, these bands CAN'T be replaced) are wearing to the point that the leather will soon begin tearing. I've only had this watch for a couple months, if even that long. It's only seen normal, everyday wear. This thing has NOT held up, and I don't recommend it. Right out of the box, the date function was a little iffy. Sometimes I'd catch the date stuck between two numbers but it always seemed to self resolve. Now it doesn't. As for the glow feature—the primary reason I chose this watch over others—no longer functions. The button is seized or something, or some other internal mechanism it relies on completely failed. Again, as a first responder I work in the dark frequently, so that's an important feature to have. Aside from the those, as I hinted before this watch is loud. The ticking is very audible, which in quiet situations can be very noticeable, and very irritating. This watch is not reliable. It has not held up at all with just normal use. At this rate of decay, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing literally turned to dust in the next month or two. I'll have to guess though, since the date feature doesn't work! I don't recommend this. Save your money and buy something nicer.

Great Watch, Ugly Wristband
Great watch, but it comes with an "el cheapo" wristband. Immediately replaced the stock wristband with an aftermarket one that looks like oiled leather. Despite this, the watch itself is great! It keeps time perfectly, is simple to adjust, and the Indiglo function is absolutely amazing! Am very happy with it!
