Nice but overpriced!
These were perfect to workout with. The coating makes it real easy to grip weight. These were way overpriced due to the company taking advantage of the covid 19 lockdown and jacking up the price, so sad to see companies doing this when people are losing their jobs.

Great -- except grip is way too big
I prefer wrapped dumbbells to metal, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of choices for a 17.5 lb weight. I tried these, even though I saw some reviews saying the grip was too thick. Going by the given circumference and my palm size (7" from wrist to middle finger tip), I thought I'd be ok. But I can't get a solid grip. For doing overhead presses it was doable because the weight is cradled. However, for deadlifts or other lifts, I just couldn't get a strong grip. Maybe with a lighter weight that grip size would be ok, but for this heavier weight it just didn't work. I returned it and got the Rep Fitness metal grip dumbbell instead. That works great.

Filled weight gaps in existing set very nicely
I bought these dumbbells to fill the gaps between my existing dumbbells made by a different manufacturer. These three new pairs of dumbbells arrived wrapped in plastic inside double boxed cardboard boxes. The dumbbells arrived in perfect condition, on time, with no blemishes or damage whatsoever. I have an expensive high precision scale so out of curiosity I weighed the dumbbells to see how close they came to the advertised weight. “9 pound” pair: 9.46, 9.22“11pound” pair: 11.14, 11.38“13 pound” pair: 13.02, 12.90By comparison, my older dumbbells made by another manufacturer weighed in as follows:“8 pound” pair: 8.55, 8.25“10 pound” pair: 10.37, 10.34“12 pound” pair: 12.15, 11.70So the precision of my new dumbbells was very slightly better than that of my old dumbbells made by another manufacturer. The only potential negative I could see for SOME customers is that the grip is pretty thick. I wear men’s “large” size gloves and these grips fit me perfectly. When I wrap my hand around the grip the tip of my index finger just touches the tip of my thumb. Someone with small hands might prefer a grip that is a little slimmer. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and glad that I could fill the gaps in between my existing set of dumbbells.

Good Except unusually BIG Grip Diameter on 12lb, measures 1 3/4"
Got these 12lb weights for my wife. The grip diameter is very big, especially for 12 lbs weights. Too Big. They both measure a smidge under 1 3/4 inches in diameter: 1.70" with calipers. The same diameter over the full length of the grip. Too big for my wife and uncomfortably big for me. If you have larger hands you may be fine. I measured all our other dumb bell weights, about 14 sets, including neoprene, vinyl, and steel with weights ranging from 3lb up to 35lbs. All had smaller grips than these weights. The smallest were 1.1" in diameter (about an inch and an 1/8") and the biggest were 1.5" but even these were only big in the center getting smaller towards each end to fit our hands better.Otherwise these seem well made and weights checked as being accurate enough on my digital 20lb scale.Later add. I just got the 8lbs coated weights from same company. The grip size is reasonable on these measuring 1 3/8" in diameter....a size similar to all my other weights.

Grip is too big for smaller hands!
I’ve been trying to find a CAP dumbbell pair of 17.5 lbs, but had a lot of trouble finding them. Saw these and bought without reading reviews. I was very excited they didn’t absolutely reek when I opened the box like a lot of the rubber coated hex dumbbells do. Today I did a leg workout using these and realized I can barely wrap my fingers around them, and they were slipping out of my hands within about 10 minutes since neoprene is slicker when you’re sweating than the CAP dumbbells. I’m 5’3” and have a normal grip (maybe even on the large side since my fingers can match my guy friends who are 6’). The grip is just way too large for smaller hands. Keep searching unless your grip is very large...then I highly recommend since they don’t smell horrible!

11 pound set Sent Instead
The 10-pound set I ordered were apparently unavailable so they sent an 11-pound set. That was kind of okay since I discovered it was no longer available on Amazon with an Unknown Availability in the future. As it turns out, they are available again, but not until May 26th - about two months after delivery. I learned this 2 weeks after they arrived. I am doing an exchange with the seller. If it all works out, I will shout their praises. If it does not I will be very disappointed. Any reputable “stone and mortar” store would be happy to make those arrangements. Time will tell. I’ll be back. The product is sturdy and has a good grip because of the neoprene. There’s no need to worry about dropping them because of sweaty hands. The sizes are nice and the hex ends make them easy to stack. The different colors makes it easy to identify one weight (3, 5, 8 and 10) from one another.

These are NOT new, torn and worn looking
When I opened the box the wrapping around the individual dumbbells was starting to disintegrate and it smelled like cat urine. You can actually see the yellow on the plastic wrapper. I removed one of the pieces from the fraying package wrapper and the end of the dumbbell is worn and has two slits/cuts into the neoprene outside material. I did not even bother to take the other dumbbell out of the box/packaging as you could see that it too was in the same shape as the other I had removed. Given these were "condition: New" I was not expecting to see any sort of wear or tear on them. I will be returning these for sure. Very disappointed.

Really nice dumbells, but grips very large.
I can't believe no one mentioned this in the reviews. I have XL sized men's hands and the bars on these, while nicely coated and comfortable, are very large. My wife can't even get her hands around them. Very strange, as they're not your standard bar thickness like other dumbells. I can make them work, but they're a bit uncomfortable to use.

Stained
I received my order and the dumbbell was stained and damaged.
