MATCHAFUL Jade Premium USDA Organic Culinary Matcha, 80 Gram

This matcha green tea was average.Three stars because I had to sift every teaspoon I used so I didn’t end up with little undesolved balls in my tea. I’ve never experienced this before and have tried several different brands.

Love this matcha! After browsing through the various matchas here on Amazon, I finally decided to try this one because:1) I try to buy organic when I can, especially when it comes to teas so I don't have to worry about potentially digesting pesticide residues. This matcha is USDA organic.2) It's intended for mixing - I usually drink matcha straight but once in awhile I crave the latte, and I needed a latte grade :)3) The 80g size seemed like a good fit for me. I don't drink lattes that often so I thought it was the perfect size to last me awhile.Now that I've got it, I've been mixing it with almond milk or cashew milk. It's got a smooth finish and strong umami flavor. Really happy with it so far.

I don't drink this, my husband does. He liked this & said it's not quite as smooth as ceremonial matcha but still quite good. He took it to work so he can have it there - you just mix it in and drink, which makes it very convenient for work, travel, etc. and home as well.Hubby says that after he uses this up he's most likely to buy the higher quality ceremonial matcha, but if he couldn't get that he wouldn't hesitate to get this one again.

I tried this matcha on a whim and I absolutely love it. I am used to one teaspoon as a serving size (this one suggests half a teaspoon) but the smaller serving size didn't affect the flavor at all. I mixed mine with macadamia milk and it was stellar. I know it's a bit expensive but I promise once you try this you won't go back!

Great quality and flavor.

I started drinking 4 cups of fresh brewed green tea with leaves from India every day. I love the fresh delicious taste and it has largely replaced my previously large consumption of coffee. Of course I'm aware of the often amazing claims regarding the egcg content. So when I read that some sources say the egcg content of matcha is 137 times that of infused tea, I wanted to include matcha into my dietary regimen. I tried various brands from the purest sources, but, sorry to say, I still haven't developed an enjoyment for the taste of matcha no matter the grade or source. Apologies to anyone reading this who just dropped their cup in horror. Anyway, I decided to start just incorporating matcha into other drinks like smoothies, but didn't want to keep buying the most expensive incarnations at their very dear prices to mix it with other ingredients. That's when I found this product. The cost is about half what I was paying before and presumably the health effect and egcg content is similar or the same. I like that it is sourced from Japan as I do not care to trust any foods sourced from China. The color is an intense green which seems to indicate freshness and lack of exposure to oxygen that might deplete its concentration. It blends well and I'm able to drink it this way and hopefully be getting it's benefits at a more budget friendly price.

I drink ceremonial grade Macha to make sure I am getting the real stuff without any other ingredients. Matchaful is a pleasant discovery at less than half the price but still tasty, organic and only high quality Macha. I compared this to my ceremonial grade Macha, both prepared traditionally with a whisk, and noted it was a bit darker in color and perhaps a tad more bitter. But still tasty. And the price makes it something I can add to my green smoothie without a big hit to my pocket book. It also comes in a sealed pull top aluminum container to ensure freshness (with a screw top too).
