Got it for about a year, good budget HDR gaming monitor
I've had this for about a year. Well it's gonna be a year but so far, so good. Keep in mind, this is using a much older HDR10 technology. So don't expect with the HDR BUT it's good nevertheless. If you have a game capture like the Elgato HD60 S+, you can make it think you have 4K but of course, it won't display it well since the monitor is 1440p. You can still get the most out of it. Besides, 1440p is the sweet spot for gaming anyways. If you want an budget gaming monitor then get this. It has everything you need for gaming. Audio jack input is eh but still good. It has no speakers, so you gotta get yourself one.At the time, I have the original PS5 model and you can play games that supports 120hz. Like Spider-Man 2 and also the latest Call of Duty game like Black Ops 6. It supports HDR, so it'll look really nice anyways. I don't mind the 27 inch screen and the build is pretty good. The screen is actually big enough anyways. I really like the stand and the assembly is really, really easy.If you're starting out and looking for a budget HDR gaming monitor, this is still a good one to go for.

Great monitor best I’ve had, highly recommend!
Got this monitor as a replacement for my Samsung odyssey g5 (screen broke) got this lg on sale and wasn’t expecting better then g5 but wow, this monitor is absolutely stunning and runs extremely smooth if I could give it 10 stars I would, I was worried about the auto dimming but I just turned off power save mode and it doesn’t do it at all anymore I think it’s fair to say 165hz (odyssey g5) to 180 is pretty noticeable haha the screen has a less thick matte coating then so many other gaming monitors I’ve seen out there which just makes it stunning for games and videos to even movies. That 1000r curve is awesome which is one thing I wanted because the (odyssey g5) had that. Plus it fits perfectly on my monitor stand but the stand it comes with looks great also high quality feel. Definitely recommend this monitor

Very good monitor!
This monitor is extremely good for gaming. Prior to owning this monitor, I would use a standard 32 inch TV for my computer with a 60 Hz refresh rate. I can tell a stark difference in the quality of this monitor in both resolution and refresh rate. As someone who used to exclusively console game, I am beginning to understand why many people switch to PC gaming. The color is much more vibrant, the curved monitor really helps with creating a sight picture in the games, and it helps with immersion. I had no issues adjusting the height and connecting it to my PC, and the monitor itself is very intuitive and easy to adjust settings.

Great bang for Buck 2560x1440
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Have bought 2 of these now. Both "like new" open box from Amazon. Came packaged well, and offer great IPS gaming experience at 144hz, 2560*1440. Ryzen 7600x, with 7800xt GPU, runs great, looks great, bang for buck.

I can never go back to 1080p
After extensive research, I finally took the plunge into the world of 1440p with the LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B, and I must say, this monitor is truly outstanding. From the moment I unboxed it, the setup was a breeze, and the picture quality has been consistently impressive, especially with its effective dimming zones. One thing to note for those chasing HDR on a budget: you'll likely encounter 'fake HDR' in this price range, which, in my opinion, doesn't really add much to the experience. So, if true HDR is a must-have, you might need to look at higher-tier options. While this monitor doesn't include a USB hub, which you might find on some similarly priced alternatives with diligent searching or a good sale, the DisplayPort and HDMI connections have worked flawlessly for me. For competitive gaming, setting the response time to 'Fast' has been the sweet spot, offering excellent clarity during fast-paced action. The stand deserves special mention – it's exceptionally well-built and offers a fantastic range of adjustments. I've enjoyed the flexibility of raising, lowering, and rotating the screen to find the perfect viewing angle. Just be aware that it doesn't offer left-to-right swivel.Overall, I'm finding the 27-inch size to be just about perfect for general use and gaming at this resolution. If you're looking for a fantastic 1440p gaming monitor without breaking the bank and aren't overly concerned with true HDR or a built-in USB hub, the LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B is definitely worth considering.

Honest review
Very good quality. HDR works great and viewing angle, even with the curved monitor is good, I use in a triple monitor setup for racing sim. Easy to connect. Haven't tested sound quality.
