I bought these because all other hose clamps I buy or hose clamps that come with anything are pure trash. Always always always, they strip. Basically the screw pops out of the grooves of the clamp. Plus I needed some that are stainless so I can use them in my beer freezer. These are perfect. I was able to clamp them down super tight and they never stripped. They never jumped out of the slots.

Gave this 5 stars so that it shows on top of the list. The screw on this is mild steel, not 304 stainless as advertised. Do NOT buy for a marine environment - or any application that involves water. The pic shows the screw sticking to a magnet (top) while below it is a genuine 304 ss hose clamp (from anther supplier) unaffected by the magnet.

Out of my 40+ years of doing mechanic work, I found these clamps were not quite up to par. They did get the job done, but the worm screw isn’t very smooth. You pretty much have to use a socket on them—using a screwdriver is nearly impossible unless you feel like stabbing your hand. Overall, they work in a pinch, but the quality could definitely be better.

These are great quality clamps. Since there's no openings in the grooves, they won't end up digging into the hose. Anyone complaining they don't hold tight enough are probably using a screwdriver. I tightened the clamp as hard as it would go with a screwdriver, but using the supplied wrench, I was able to tighten it another full one to two turns. I plan to get silicone hoses in the future and I'm sure these clamps will hold them tight enough.

Automotive grade didn’t need 12 pieces who was cheaper than buying them from a local auto parts store

I thought these were bigger. I guess I really didn't know what I needed. So I didn't end up using them. Seem like good quality though.

You want these ones. Welded. Great price.

I needed a hose clamp for my RV flex hoses that would not strip out. These did the job. And I can tighten if needed with no fear of stripping out the worm gear. Stainless 304 so no rusting out. Use 1/2 flex hose in RV.
