Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is being used on a above ground pool where we needed the depth of the filler to reach the right height for filling the pool to the right level. We tried using rocks to make it stable but the coping is too flexible to be stable. We just clamped it to the pool and it now functions perfectly. It is easy to set and has been leak free. At this time of year you can lose 1/4 to 1/2 of inch of water in the pool to evaporation. This is a pretty simple set and forget option. Check it once a week for functionality and you should be good to go. For the price it is decent quality and it was easy to install.

Worked well for my purpose

The plastic hose connector is finicky and it took several attempts over several days to stop the leak at the connection. Otherwise easy to set up and has functioned well this season. Build is relatively flimsy plastic, so unsure how long it will work. I recommend adding a water meter on the hose to track usage.

This thing overflows the pool, causing giant water bills! Installation was simple enough, build quality is fairly okay, BUT, after setting up the unit to keep the pool level constant, the float evidently stuck and added many hundreds of gallons of fresh water into my saltwater pool! This overflowed the pool to the street and also diluted the salt to a level that the chlorine generator stopped! I noticed later in the instructions that you need to "check" it every few days to ensure that this issue isn't happening. Having to check it every few days really defeats the purpose of having it!! I installed it on the pool at my house that is 250 miles away from my primary residence and had high hopes that this would do the job of maintaining the water level while I was away, total fail! The company should redesign the float/sensor system to remedy this problem! This has ended up costing me several hundred dollars in lost water and replacement salt! Definitely doe NOT do the job it was intended to do. Do not recommend!

Being a realtor I sell customers pool homes or I have listings with pools and these help with places that are vacant or waiting for owner to arrive. Snow birds this is a necessity. I have bought this particular one several times.

Don't have to worry about the pump running dry, because this keeps the pool water level consistent.

poor quality. The up and Down level control is cheap. It easily becomes hung up thus it does not fill correctly
