A superior pair of running & sport earbuds
I was getting rather tired of my few pairs of cheap earbuds having used them daily and not really getting a great quality sound in return, so I decided to take the plunge on a premium pair and chose the Bose SoundSport. Being a runner and highly active I used my earbuds mostly while exercising or at the gym so I wanted to stay with a smaller compact earbud style as opposed to something clunky. My main concerns were:- "Open" earbuds that stay hanging on your ears likely lose a lot of quality with sound escaping the ear canal- "Closed" earbuds that use some sort of silicon seal have a very strong occlusion effect that ruins the listening experience with the sound of your own breathe and footstep thuds... ugh- Also these closed style earbuds block out ambient noise which could be dangerous while running, riding a bike, etc.- The sealed earbuds are sometime prone to popping out of your ear with any slight tug on the cordI settled on this Bose pair because they were one of the few options that seemingly solved all of those issues. I've used these for a year now and I am extremely satisfied with them. The sound quality is excellent, I have never had an issue with them falling out, the fit is perfect (they come with 3 different sized tips), they are easy to put in and take out, and the control bar on the cord is SUPER useful. These have solved all of those issues and are a nice looking pair of headphones as well with some subtle but helpful bonus features such as the adjustable clothing clip, carrying case, and extension cord. Some other reviewers have mentioned problems with the audio jack. I do wish Bose had designed the plug with an angled jack instead of a straight jack because if you keep this in your pocket I could see how it might get worn out from all the friction. All I can say is use the carrying case and take decent care of the headphones and you should have minimal issues. Great headphones otherwise and I highly recommend them.

My Bose headphones
I was happy with the headphones I received, but I wish it could be confirmed if the ear pieces that came with it were new or used. Since it couldn't be confirmed I had to throw them away, but luckily I had new ones. The sound quality is good and I like the look of it. I also wish there was a volume control on the wires themselves, but that is not the seller's fault. Overall great quality.

Finally, the perfect earphones for running!
I've tried many varieties of earphones but Imost don't fit me all that well, and most don't stay in place after 5 minutes of exercise. I have tried triple flanges, foam inserts of all shapes, and over the ear loops but I've never made it through an entire run without having to readjust at least a few times. The Bose SoundSports are the first pair that fit so well that I can barely feel them. They were perfectly comfortable and extremely stable in my ears. I ran 5 miles and got very sweaty and there was no movement or slippage at all. They come with three sizes and the soft silicone inserts. They hold the earphones solidly in place without exerting pressure. I could't even shake them loose when I tried.I had previously used Shure SE215s and the sound was richer and they had better base, but the SE215s are sound isolating and these Bose are not. For running I actually prefer to have a little ambient sound get through for safety, and the sound quality of the BOSE is still excellent. If you like heavy base you might be a little disappointed. The cable is sturdy and there is a straight jack so it should fit through most phone cases. The volume and mic controls are light but sturdy feeling. They also come with a small alligator clip to keep the cord from tugging, which is nice. I just got them so I can't comment on durability, but so far they are the best running phones I've had.

Bose is not reliable anymore.
Despite the famous and powerful sound these headphone give, they disappointed me really badly.First of all, out of the box, the headphones inline remote didn't work and sometimes it would just skip songs randomly. This happened in all of my apple devices: iphone, iMac and iPad.Secondly, and the worst part, the left headphone started buzzing really quietly and weirdly. Slowly the sound grew and it became worse. It was an electronic mal function noise.I paid 150$ for some running headphones, hopping I was going to get the best and honestly, I got the worse. Not even my 15$ headphones ruined this fast and I do 10km runs everyday. In really disappointed with Bose. I really wanted to love this headphones but all of these problems prevented me from doing it.

They fit great and are super comfortable
They fit great and are super comfortable. I'm not completely blown away by the sound quality that everyone boasts about from Bose. Honestly I think my Jaybird Freedom bluetooth headphones sound just as good, HOWEVER, the jaybirds go into your ears like ear plugs so they're noise cancelling and I can listen to the music more clearly in louder environments. They're good headphones but they're not game changers for me. I guess I'm a little biased towards my bluetooth headphones from Jaybird because I've been wireless for a long time and haven't had to fight a wire at the gym and now I do, but I'm adjusting.
