Great Single Wall NON INSULATED bottle
Great Single Wall NON INSULATED bottle. The MORONS who gave this a 1 star rating, should learn to read the description. Great bottle over all and hopefully will get past the plastic taste from the cap. Those say it sweats, it's called CONDENSATION and that's what happens with single wall bottles. People are funny. Lol.

Excellent Bottles
I have bought and used these (and smaller sized) Klean Kanteen for years now, both for myself and the kids. The bottles are made of excellent quality stainless steel - never smelly, never any stains or rust etc. The sport cap is very easy for kids and doesn't leak unless you forget to close it fully.I have 3 complaints (and hence the 4 stars rather than 5):1) The area under the rubber washer on the sport cap tends to get black stains over time. Cleaning those is a bit painful since the washers are put on pretty tight (as they should be)2) The bottom dents pretty easily and over time, makes the bottle unstable. If they had reinforced the bottom with some sort of rubber or plastic base, it would've been ideal.3) Purely cosmetic complaint - over time, the paint does chip on the colored bottles, but this doesn't affect anything other than the looks.

lifetime water bottles
we are a family of four and have been using klean kanteen bottles for about six years to avoid disposable water bottles and plastic. they're great for taking on the go and they help to remind you to get enough water every day. you can tighten the lid so the kids can't get them off and make a mess and they withstand being dropped (or thrown by a 2-year old) well - they can get a little dented and the paint chips off on those dents but they hold up. the kids' caps need replacing every few years (they bite on the black tip so it eventually cracks and the silicon insert for the sippy cap eventually won't stay in) but the bottles will last literally forever.

Love Kanteen bottles but need covers for them
I've purchased and used Kleen Kanteens in various sizes for years and love them. IMO nothing compares to them for the safe and sturdy transport of one's liquids in any situation. The only reason this review doesn't get five stars is the lack of neoprene covers for them.Built used to make and sell neoprene covers for the Klean Kanteen bottle line through a now-defunct website (Reuseit). I used to buy my KK bottles with those covers to protect the single-wall bottles and help insulate their contents. Sadly, Built no longer makes them; nor does any other company. I'm hoping this review will spur Kleen Kanteen to rekindle its partnership with Built or another firm to make that possible.

Flip Top Leaks
I have three 40oz Klean Kanteens and they have functioned well over the years, but the flip top leaks no matter how hard I twist it and it doesn't work that well. I take it off to drink. I replaced the flip top with a flat top from one of the 40oz. bottles and it doesn't leak. The flat top has metal threads and the flip top's are plastic. Recommend not buying one with a flip top.

Best water bottle!
Love these water bottles! I originally bought a smaller one because my daughter needed to take a water bottle to school and I didn't want her drinking from a plastic bottle and we loved it so much I ended up buying 3 more! This bigger size is perfect for game days!! And the sport cap is super easy to clean... just put it in the dishwasher, along with bottle. My daughter's pretty hard on her water bottles, going to and from school and games, so the paint may chip off a little and I think we even have a tiny dent in one, but they really are sturdy bottles overall.

Dented
So it's a great water bottle but beware if you drop it even once it dents. We dropped the water bottle once and noticed a dent and when I went to set it down on our table we noticed that it does not stand straight any longer. Unfortunately, now i have to handle these bottles with kid gloves (we bought 2 at the same time) otherwise I will have 2 unusable bottles. They are nice looking bottles but perhaps not for any everyday use where they might accidentally fall.

Dishwasher safe, stainless steel water bottle
I needed to replace two water bottles, and the unpainted KK with extra loop cap fit the bill. I had a old plastic Contigo water bottle, that was great for one-handed drinking in the gym or on a hike. Unfortunately it broke in the back-country and I lost 24oz of water that I was planning on using. My wife had a insulated stainless steel bottle, but it had to be hand-washed and was never clean when she needed it. She left that one at the gym.I bought two of the KK classic SS bottles, unpainted, each with sport cap (for the gym) and loop cap for the trail, airport etc. So far so good, no spills, no breakages, and straight into the dishwasher when they're dirty!
