The quality and finish is as good as the branded one
This review is for the Garbage Disposal Splash Guards, Sink Baffle Rubber Guard, Garbage Disposal Cover Quiet Garbage Disposal Parts Parts-Drain Plugs for InSinkErator Evolution Series QCB-AM Sink Baffle Drain Cover£6.99 at the time of reviewI didn’t read the whole specs of this drain cover, but was lured by the diameter only. I have a series M Insikerator but this cover is designed for the Evolution series which is about 4 times the price if memory serves me right. In the less epxensive M series, the cover is fitted underneath the metal sink plate and above the bolt mount and gets trapped between the two. The illustrations for this cover show it being inserted from the sink, which is different than from the M series. In mine, the cover simply falls through the sink and into the Insinkerator, and trying to fit it between the sink plate and the bolt mount doesn’t work either as it isn’t thick enough and doesn’t seal the gap.The quality is good and the finish looks to be as good as mine, so on that basis and the price, it is 5 stars from me. However, since I can’t actually test it, I can’t say whther it works or not.

Does not fit Insinkerator
Slightly too small for insinkerator model 56 so falls straight through into macerator.. Luckily the unit was not running so I could fish it out and return it unscathed for a refund.

Inexpensive replacement for simple but important component.
After many years the waste-disposal splash guard in the kitchen sink became worn. Its various functions were not obvious until it started to fail. I then realised it provides sound proofing, physical protection and noise and smell protection. It also contributes to aesthetics by blocking the inside of the waste disposal from view. The old splashguard was relatively easy to remove and after some cleaning the new splash guard slotted in.The end result is a nicer looking sink in a quieter kitchen where the seal prevents the drain smell getting out; as such it represents a good £6.99 investment.
