My 93-year-old mom does not like to wear anything on her legs or feet, so it's a struggle to find nylons she will wear to church under her slacks. (Her varicose veins and ashy skin don't lend themselves to going bare-legged.) I've tried all kinds of knee highs, and she fights me every week when I get her dressed for church. BUT these are a hit. She loves the polka dots and the ruffled tops (likely reminds her of her teenage years), and the soft and silky feel with enough stretch so they don't bag around the ankles make them a hit. She especially likes the black ones to wear with her black slacks and red top. And they actually do come just above the ankle, as shown in the picture.

Great Socks! They are perfect with any shoe, bootie or tall boot. The ankle stays put without being tight which is one of my pet peeves. I love my cashmere socks that I've had for years but sometimes I get too hot with them and these are a great solution and alternative.
