This is a quality kit. There are other similar kits on the market that are less expensive. Read the details on finishes and dampening and you'll find it is worth the extra money. Installed in less than 15 minutes using the clear, concise instructions provided. Hood now opens higher than with the prop rod which provides more light and work room under the hood.

Perfect fit for 2024 Ford Ranger. Took about 20 minutes to install. Good instructions and helpful video. Instructions advise to place a rag in the gap in case you drop the bolt.....good advice but on the driver's side you'll need a king size bed sheet or extra large beach towel. It's a giant bottomless pit. Perfect fit, easy install and operates great.

Seriously, watch the install video in the amazon listing. I couldn't find the bolt to remove based on the instructions, but it was 11pm and I already used the instruction book to start a camp fire, so probably my fault.These seem a little pricy, but if they last 10+ years I'll consider it money well spent.They leave plenty of room for activities without getting in your way.When you open the hood latch these things really shove it right up to the sky. The video was a great source to follow on installing. Build quality seems great and functionality works better than expected for the weight of the hood. It does open farther than the hood prop rod would for holding the hood and I like that if the strusts were to go out years from now. I will still have a backup. Eliminating the hood prop allows for more space to work in the engine bay. As well as it works and as easy as it was to install, the value was definitely worth it.!!Note--that you want to ensure the arm's for the lower struts have space on the sides from the frame of the truck.

This was a simple install. I really like not depending on the prop rods. These should have been standard on the Ranger.

I've purchased Redlines for 2 different vehicles. Both were easy to install and have been working fine. A good product!
