UNIC UC46 Portable 1080P 800x480 Resolution WiFi LED Projector

I am writing this review after 6 months of usage. Actually I am a movie buff and was looking for a good quality budget projector for a long time. Now I got it and using it for half a year and believe me I'm totally satisfied with the performance. I bought it for ₹ 4299/- only and never expected such quality of picture it would projet. I have used most of the inputs it has. All are fully functional. I could connect my Redmi 4a smartphone through mirror casting (wireless display menu in setting) without any problem at all. Connected my laptop through HDMI port, used pen drive in USB port - absolutely no problem. Some reviewers pointed about some heating issue. But believe me there is no such issue - at least with my set. I watch one or two movies every week. It produces moderate amount of heat like all projectors do but an exhaust fan keeps it within limit. However I advise not to watch two movies back to back. After all it is a low end projector. Better give at least one hour between movies to cool it down. The only issue which I found a bit negative is it's audio.The in-built speaker is of no use. It produces very little sound. You have to use external speakers through the 3.5 earphone socket. If you use laptop through HDMI then you can route the laptop's audio from HDMI to the laptop's speaker (Control Panel > Audio) and connect the speaker to the earphone socket of the laptop. It gives better sound.At last I want to mention the best part of this projector - yes, it is it's picture quality. I never expected such great quality picture from a projector which costs less than 5k. Somebody says in their review that there is blurness around the corner of the picture. I didn't find such things. If you find the colour over saturated just turn off the "Super Colour" feature from menu. You don't need a big room for the projection. I kept the projector just about 8.5 feet distance from the projection screen to get a picture of 6 feet length. Increase the distance to get a bigger picture. About 15 feet distance will give you a picture of 10 feet wide. No need to buy a screen. A white wall is enough for good picture. Another thing must be noted that the 1200 lumen light it produces is not enough even for a room with medium lighting. So the room must be totally dark. There is no arrangement at the bottom of the projector to fix it on a stand. So you have to put it on a table. One thing must be kept into mind that I am writing this review from the point of view of a movie watcher. It may be not suitable for commercial demonstration purpose. If you want a low cost movie theatre at home don't think twice, - go for it.

I thought the projector project the 1080P videos on the wall, but this is not a case it's support videos in Full HD 1080p quality but the protector project the images or videos on the wall in SD(Standard definition). Brightness is very bad. I have found some problems which are below.Pro1. Cheap and below average, you can say that you have a projector.Cons1. Fan Noise too high.2. brightness is very bad.3. Picture Quality is in SD.4. Take time ON the Projector.5. Good for minor use(Reading PDF, Slides ETC)6. Movies watching experience is dependent on person to person in my case it's Compromised. Because you are going to miss too many details in SD Quality.

I am a total geek specially when it comes to electronics. Research all the lamighton-mumbai shops for a low price good quality projector and you will still be wasting your time.Pros :1) Portable :Its very handy, small in size and can be easily carried in your laptop bag. Took this piece on camp nite this diwali and it was an amazing experience.2) Orientation ease :You can orient this any way you want. Used it.@Vertically tilt above bed : enjoy the projection on cieling while lying down on bed.@on floor or table : project on wall ( you dont need expensive project screen for this projection)@hanging : hang it with support and point anywhere in dark.It had option to tweak your projection upside down and both side ways aswell.2) Value for money :Its very cheap for what the quality we get.3) Multimedia support :Supports Games ( played Gta 5 and fifa ) , Hd movies and also text files (not sure why its not recommended for text. If your distance of projection is less than 5meters.4) Remote :They provide Remote which comes very handy as you do not need to locate buttons on projector in dark.5) Built in speakers :Comes with built in speakers which are usefull if enlcosed room with No other sound disturbance.You have audio jack to connect to your sound system which I would recommend.5) Advice on connection :Buy a good quality HDMI/VGA cable with this, It gives a satisfactory theatre feel when Focus is adjusted properly.Cons :1) Poor Adjustment settings :The firmware seems outdated, so interface looks very average and so setting menu for sound, projection and other option selections.2) RGB not great :You will need to take efforts to set Color settings if not using HDMI cable, as it its default color templates are not upto the mark.3) USB and DLNA lag : if you have an old HDD with HD videos this product is a No no.DLNA feature and interface without an external Cast stick is very poor..But works just fine with VGA or HDMI cable to set top box, laptop, pc and mobile devices.If you are having thoughta of buying a projector and have a low budget, buy this one, you wont regret it at all.

My opinion.Cant expect much from a projector worth around 5000. Can do its job well. Dont expect high "HD" resolution. Not that great with the 'RGB' settings. Works fine or good for watching movies "only" cant browse or read for long, not that clear even though you can adjust settings. Wifi seems to be working fine. The exhaust or the cooling fan is somewhat noisy produces a hell lot of warm air -.- . Like the various input and output facilities provided. Size wise it is quiet small and portable which is good. Works great in dark room 'only'. Would have been awesome if there was a HDmi cable along with the product. `\(-.-)~ so there it is the product review.
