I've tried many Nespresso competitors and this is my favorite. Many of the non-Nespresso brands have the plastic rather than metal capsules and sometimes the plastic ones have a lower level of quality control. The aluminum capsules yield more consistent results regardless of the grounds inside. When I open a box of any brand capsules, I gently press on the foil seal on the top to check if there is any give or flex. If there is, the espresso is usually a little bit watery as the capsule was less full than the Nespresso ones. My favorite Nespresso is the Kazaar (I like really strong espresso) and this is very similar. So far, the capsules appeared full of grounds and the resultant stream of espresso came out slowly and strong flavored without being overly bitter. Since I have 80 capsules in this order, I've got quite a few more to try but so far this Illy Espresso is some really good stuff.

Great coffee and amazing value for my Nespresso machine. Have loved Illy for years and with this great price, I’ve nearly stopped buying Nespresso brand capsules! Works flawlessly in my machine as well!

Great flavor, except for the occasional bitter cup (maybe 6 of 80). The price was about $.43 a capsule, and more than doubled since sept 15. A couple were dented but all functioned thru the machine without issue. Maybe it was me, but a few tasted "off". Rather bitter. I'm not sure where they're made, no Italian flag. As a splurge, I can buy the "Made in Italy" Illy pods. Try these you'll like them.

I love this coffee but am challenged to press grounds into an espresso maker. The Nespresso pods make the process foolproof, and the espresso tastes great. Ordering a four pack pretty much ensures the package will arrive okay. Unfortunately, Amazon’s new bags for shipping means a single package never gets to me without damage to one or more pods.

The Nespresso pods ILLY are very delicious, fine coffee. You can enjoy daily espresso or lungo; it never disappoints you. Excellent price/quality; once you try it, you will order regularly.

Nespresso capsules are expensive, and these cost more than average, but it is worthwhile to get that illy flavour
