Does it look good on auburn hair?

It looks good with all hair colors. I have dark chocolate brown hair and it looks great. It smells amazing and makes your hair so soft, plus tames the fly-aways. It comes out of the bottle looking gold with shimmery specs in it, but it doesn't make your hair that color...it just adds a shine and dimension to dull hair.

Does it work on dry hair?

You can apply this product to your hair whether it is wet or dry, but I prefer to apply it to wet hair to prevent tangling and damage out while blow drying. I have long hair and apply it only to the lower portion and ends, not the roots, or it makes it lose its fullness.

Does this protect hair against heat?

Yes, that's exactly what it does. There's the fabulous added bonus of a really sheer gold effect. I'm always trying new products for color treated and heat abused hair. This product is one I continue to use along with the other products. I might over compensate but my hair is in great condition. It works with any hair color. I've gifted it to my favorite ladies with traditional colors and very untraditional colors!
