The adapter part for the IBC tote works great. The problem is the brass threads on the hose cock do not match the threads in the plastic cap that attaches to the IBC tote adapter. BEWARE of this fact because if you try to force the brass onto the plastic, you will strip the threads on the plastic. I'm going to a local plumbing supply house to find something to make this work instead of returning it because I have never had any luck going that route with Amazon

I had to return this. I got this adapter to use on my IBC tank that has the thin screw threads. Those threads are fine yet this adapter would not screw onto them far enough to engage the washer an prevent leaks. This adapts the thin threads to large threads for using other attachments. But even though the threads are big and thick, they would only get so tight then break loose. I also tried screwing the hose bib that comes with this, into the plastic adapter. No matter how many times I tried, the hose bib started screwing in then would just start getting crooked. I know to be careful when screwing into plastic threads and was mindful to to it correctly, but it would not go in straight. TI assume this is because the plastic fittings are pretty soft plastic. Again, even the thick course threads would not hold tight.

I purchased 2 of these IBC adapters. One worked great the other took some work. The threads seem a bit off but with some PtFe pipe dope and tape it seems to be ok.
