Roger & Gallet Carnation Perfumed Soap 100ml

I really like Roger&Gallet hard soaps but they are difficult to find in shops here in the U.K. . This gorgeous Carnation fragrance clearly came from overseas, took a long time to arrive and was rather expensive. Keeping it for a special holiday! Why can’t I buy this Carnation version here in the U.K. at the same price as e.g. ‘Rose” ?

I have always liked Roger Gallet soap, particularly carnation perfume. I lookforward to using it.

Just love the old fashion smell it’s hard to find

I have been buying this carnation soap for about 30 years and I have loved it for all that time. The bars are long lasting and perfume the whole bathroom. They are not quite so easy to find these days so I try to limit my use.

I've bought this soap for my dad for several years. It's getting hard to find and they have either changed the "recipe", or this isn't the real thing. It just doesn't smell like the original at all. I won't be buying again.

I heard that they will not be making this soap for much longer...which is a shame, because the spicey carnation scent is unique and delightful...The travel case makes this handy as well, and is sturdy. The bar of soap is smaller than expected for the rather high price, but I just may order another one before this is scent is gone forever. WHY it has been discontinued remains a sad mystery to me.

No carnation on the planet compares to Roger & Gallet, which I’ve been using since living with my great-grandparents when I was little, 50 years ago. Really takes me back to a happy time. But they’re SO hard to find now. Worries me that they may be discontinued altogether. 🥲

If you think this is the soap you used to love, beware; the formula has changed. It has a strong, almost chemical smelling, cheap perfume reek. Just handling the paper wrapping made me need to scrub my fingers. I had to put it outside until I could return it. It is beyond me why a company would mess with a product that was so good for so long.

I confess I bought this soap because I'm a Freddie Mercury (of Queen) fan and had read this brand and scent was his favorite, so I thought it would be fun to try. I'm not disappointed. The travel case is nice, the soap has a nice, creamy lather, and after just one use, my bathroom smells like carnations when I walk in. The price is high because, unfortunately, this scent has been discontinued. I quite like it and look forward to trying some of Roger and Gallet's other scents in the future. Definitely recommend.
