Only used it once but so far so good.
Worked really well for crafting a wooden wedge needed to get frozen blind stakes out of the ground. Also cleared some brush around one of my stand locations. Razor sharp even after working with it. Hopefully it's a life long hunting companion. Perfect size to attach to a pack

The best bushcraft axe ever
This is a wonderful piece of kit.... the larger head with the shorter handle allows this axe to punch weigh above its weight... I have had mine for 5 years and used it a lot. It looks new and is easy to sharpening and holds its edge.... while one can purchase less expensive... the old adage one gets what one pays for rings true... having been an earnest camper since I was a kid and now over 60... this is one of TWO axes I have had and used since I was 10 years old... I know that there is another brand that gets a lot of press .... and it's lighter with a much smaller head [that's why I carry a hatchet] this axe is an AXE... and I can tackle any log .... and because of its well designed head I can split more wood with less effort than the ultra light competitor "axe" with the hatchet head that costs another $100.00 which one would find ones self limited in what pieces of wood one could actually take on... This is an incredible design that allows versatility without having to compromise...

Didn't keep it, for this price it needs to be better
To me this is a clear competitor to the Gransfors Small Forest Axe (which is a better buy than this, in my opinion). It's just okay, I thought that the handle and head were not well matched, as it felt more awkward, both as a one-handed and as a two-handed tool. I just couldn't get comfortable in any position along the handle. The experience is completely different with the Gransfors, which I guess is just better designed or balanced, at least for my body. At this price point, I think we should get something premium, and I just didn't feel like this met my expectations. I couldn't fault it too much, as the materials were good and construction seemed solid, but it just did not work out for me ergonomically (which I realize may be somewhat subjective).
