This is a good magnet. Indeed, it is stronger than others claiming to be a grade 8. The quality of the construction seems to good. (Note that I have no means to determine a magnet's grade.)

For a ham radio operator these are an experimental antenna part. I made a two piece 4:1 Balun with these and had an amazing OCF (offset center-fed dipole) RECEIVE antenna with 94/44 foot elements made an amazing receive antenna.

It’s a very strong magnet. Really not for kids. My son hurt his finger because the two magnets squeezed them together. He kept them but I think we should have returned them. He is 13 and said he will be more careful with them
