Worked instantly and settled baby
Worked instantly! Our premature baby developed silent reflux and colic at about 1 month old. Our health visitor suggested we tried Colief after Infacol hadn't worked and she was not old enough for gripe water. We tried these drops in bottles of expressed breast milk and also using a syringe when she breastfed. Colief worked instantly and we found she stopped crying and was able to bring her wind up a lot better which meant she was more settled. Now we're 2 months on and we're weaning her off it. She is down to one drop (from 4 drops) in each feed and is coping well.I was not able to get this on prescription so when I found Amazon to have the best price (I looked everywhere) we bought two 15ml bottles. We used three 15ml bottles in 2 months - this can be achieved by using 2 drops if the feed is more than 4 hours away. I'd add 2 drops to freshly expressed milk, leave for 20 mins then put the bottle in the fridge. I also used 4 drops occasionally such as when breastfeeding or for an immediate bottle feed. If you use the 4 drops given for an immediate feed then you'll use it up quicker. The instructions state to express a small amount of milk on a sterile spoon add the drops and then give to baby then breastfeed as normal. I expressed a few drops of milk into a small sterile container, added the drops, then used a sterile 1ml syringe to suck up the solution and feed to baby. It worked well.If bottle feeding breast milk or formula then you can just add to the bottle of milk.

My newborn has struggled with painful trapped wind and explosive nappies since day 3
Expensive but worth it. My newborn has struggled with painful trapped wind and explosive nappies since day 3, and was screaming non-stop from 10pm until 3, 4 even 5am. We're now giving Colief before every feed, which is a bit of a faff with a hungry, breastfed-on-demand baby, but he is much more comfortable and everyone in the house is getting a little more rest. We're using in combination with Infacol, which helps him to burp, and Windis to help with the more stubborn and uncomfortable nappies. Colic and sleep deprivation is no joke!UPDATE: Our little one is now 10 weeks old and has been off Colief for about 2 weeks. We adjusted our breastfeeding routine as it seemed there was more milk than my baby could cope with. This meant he was gulping milk down, resulting in more wind and discomfort. I also suspect (and a LA Leche League lactation consultant agreed) that baby was getting too much of the lactose-rich foremilk. So we began nursing on one side for two feeds, then switching to the next side for the next two feeds (block feeding). I also cut all dairy from my diet in the advice of my GP. You should definitely take advice from LLL, a HV or GP before you do any of this, and you must be vigilant about the risk of mastitis with block feeding, but it did the trick for us. Our baby is still an extremely fussy, clingy, wakeful baby (joy!) but he no longer screams for hours on end, and when he does finally fall asleep at night, he sleeps for 8 hours solid. Still won't nap though! Answers on a postcard, please, from anyone who can fix that little problem :-)

Expensive, but it helps!
My newborn baby was suffering terribly with colic. We tried all of the over the counter colic drops etc, but none worked! This product is expensive, however I have seen an improvement with my sons colic. He doesn't scream for long periods as he did before, he still gets a little trapped wind and fussiness, but these drops have definitely helped stop the inconsolable crying. It might not work for all babies, but I can say this has definitely improved my baby's discomfort with colic. I would recommend this product.

Ok
My 4 week old son was showing signs of having colic, he was very gassy during and after feeds and it was extremely hard to get his wind up. He was constantly pulling his legs up everytime I went to put him down after a feed. It was taking around an hour to settle him and put him down which is exhausting at 3am in the morning. I switched him to aptamil comfort with no changes. I started him on these drops last week and I can't say they have made a huge difference. He does bring up more wind but it didn't make a difference to how long it was taking him to settle. After a bit more research online I thought I would try a smaller teat size than the standard size 1 that came with my mam starter bottles. The difference was instant. He was actually finishing the bottle quicker too with more comfort. Hopefully this review helps someone else who is struggling
