Brilliant icon film timeless horror will be good for years to come.

This is the R1 print of Friday the 13th pt 2.It's the widescreen deluxe edition & thepicture quality is quite nice. Said picture fillsall the screen on a modern TV, so "sack boy"(he hasn't found his hockey mask just yet)has grown up, but he really doesn't look thatimposing. As we all know, he becomes "proper Jason"in pt 3. Another bunch of teens go messing where theyshouldn't be messing, and we get to see the results.Some decent fx & you have yourself a great Friday flick.Not watched extras yet, but here's whats on the back ofthe box: Inside Crystal Lake memories, Fridays Legacy: Horrorconventions, Lost Tales from the camp pt2 (pt1 is on first film),Jason Forever. The special features are 'not rated'.The looong flashback takes the pi$$. R-rated 86mins.1981 a smashing year

Friday the 13th 2 looks really good on blu-ray, standing miles above the dvd release and also better than the Friday the 13th blu-ray. It's not perfect, some grain exists but given the age and source this is understandable. The image is sharp and clear with good detail. The night scenes hold up well too.This is the R rated version, so no new gore has been reinstated. Which, as is suggested in the extras, may not even exist any more. Don't hold your breath for a better edition of this film being released. Paramount doesn't seem to care a great deal for this series of films, which is a shame, you can only think that is someone like New Line had the rights to these films there would be better editions. Never the less, Paramount has done a good job with the picture quality at least.The extras are ports of the dvd edition. Brief and not too interesting. Worth upgrading if you have the dvd. The film has never looked better.

Im a huge horror fan who has recently got into the Friday the 13th series and this is the my 2nd favourite in the series after the new blood this is a brilliantly gory brilliantly jumpy film. This is the first time viewers saw jason and i think this is creepiest look. 5 stars for scares 5 stars for gore and 5 stars for a brilliant movie

Buona edizione tedesca per questo fondamentale capitolo della saga dedicata a Venerdì 13: non mi sento di dare la quinta stella, perché ormai è reperibile solo questa versione con lingua italiana e perché il secondo film meriterebbe uno stellbook con BD e 4K: proprio in questo film nasce e si sviluppa il mito di Jason, inserito poi tra i cattivi del cinema horror anni ‘80…A parte questo, consiglio l’acquisto per avere un notevole salto qualitativo rispetto al DVD di un titolo immancabile nella collezione di qualsiasi cultore di pellicole dedicate ai classici di genere.

der 2.teil schliesst nahtlos an seinen genialen vorgänger an-ohne allerdings an den erfolg anzuknüpfen-auch wenn die spannungsschraube auch hier wieder bis zum finale hart angezogen wird.auch die kills fallen nicht ganz so blutig aus-sind aber bis auf einigewenige sekunden-weitgehend ungeschnitten.auch hier untermalt die schaurige musik von harry manfredini erneut mit seinem genialemscore -tsch tsch tsch-ah ah ah-das gruselige gemetzel.dazu die üblichen zutaten-datum-klar,freitag,der 13.-brüller,lol-gewitter-darfnatürlich nicht fehlen-abgelegenes feriencamp im wald mit see-sehr romantisch-aber...na ja,wie schon gesagt-wer teil 1 mag-wirdauch diesen slasher mögen,beim nächsten freitag,dem 13.-im kalender am besten alle beiden teile-1 und 2-hintereinander wegansehen,hoffen auf gewitter und am besten ein paar kerzen aufstellen-fürs gruselieg ambiente dazu....tsch tsch.....lol
