Great knife for work
It does what it's supposed to do. Its makes light of my job at work as I'm always having to cut open boxes.

It’s okay…
I originally bought this to put film on my windows and it got the job done perfectly, however I used it to cut up a cardboard tubing for my hamster and the blade fell out. It was cheap and cheerful but if you’re wanting to use it from something tough I’d try and find a better quality one with replaceable blades as I can’t get the bald back in this one.

Good all rounder but the safety return does not allways fully return
The silverline CT11 Auto-Retractable Safety Utility Knife is well built metal casing like old stanley knifes and screwed togeather for quick blade changes from your spare stock in the handle. The paint is even holding up to daily abuse in a busy garage workshop.Unfortunaly the safety device managed to make it more dangerous to use. Occasionaly the blade does not fully retract not enough to see the tip of the blade but enough to catch your self on it. I purchased 4 knifes and 3 of them do it intermittantly.A good all round knife but just needs a little bit of refining to make this a better knife. Maybe a slightly stronger return spring needed?

The auto retract is a feature!
I see many negative reviews on the auto retract feature of this knife, but I much prefer it for many jobs, for example if you're moving house and need to open many boxes, you can safely keep it in your pocket without risking your fingers every time you pull it out.It doesn't take much getting used to either, and I find the more traditional knives similar to this but without auto retract to be more difficult and less safe to use.

Useless Tool!
Useless Tool! Blade retracts automatically and can't be locked in the "out" position, you have to constantly press as you cut. Potentially dangerous as you can't concentrate on your work in hand as you have to press this d**m button. DO NOT BUY!

Good value for money. Feel a bit cheap but do the job as well as I need.

Stanley knife retractable
Shame it can’t be locked in out position, having to constantly hold the slider button is a pain . Sturdy construction bought to replace a broken one(plastic) in my toolbox👍
