What a gem!
Yes, I know, a real chainsaw pro could cut 24" sticks each and every time by eye. I will leave myself out of that category and say that I am willing to be typed as a "Great Woods" duffer. I have always needed a bit of help with this task. Goofy wands that extend out from the chainsaw bar or a stick have been my usual method of choice, but I saw the Mingo Marker and the price was right so I ordered one. Eureka! Light, durable, tough and accurate, the Mingo Marker is now my tool of choice. I get consistent 24" rounds for the splitter and the marking is quick and easy. The needed can of paint lasts a long time and allows you to select the color you see best in the woods. The Mingo tool has a standard wheel for 16" sticks and you do need to get the 24" as an option if that is what you need (also sets for 6" and 12") but it can be purchased quite reasonably. Even the yellow/green color of the high impact body enables you to pick the tool out on the forest floor quickly and easily. Not everyone who cuts their own wood, or sells wood may need this kind of tool, but I do and I am delighted. I can think of no way it could be improved. Highly recommended!

This is not a Mingo 6-12-24 Inch Marking Wheel!
The Amazon information is mislabeled as a Mingo Marker 6-12-24 wheel, although it is actually only a 14” wheel. Even the manufactures box the wheel arrived in is mislabeled as both a “14 Inch Wheel... Part # 265-03” and “B000VEOQ6O....The Mingo Marker 6-12-24 Inch Marking Wheel”.You’ll need to choose the Mingo “24 inch wheel (with pin inserts) to get the correct 6-12-24” wheel.

Good product
I used it to mark a tree to cut in 24 inch lengths. Works very well on the trunk of the tree, but when you get to the small branches you have to bend over and walk with the marker that can sometimes be a problem in the woods. I would recommend an extension handle on angle upward about two feet long so you could walk somewhat upright while marking smaller branches.Thank youFrank

Compliments the 16" wheel.
If you bought the16" for firewood [like me] .... you might want this to cover ALL MEASUREMENTS you might make with the Mingo. JUST Saying....

Great Multi-Use Wheel
This wheel is a great value in that you essentially get 3 different sized wheels within the one wheel. The wheel comes with small triangular cams with pre-drilled holes to allow you to vary between the three different sizes. Simply using the provided screws, attach the desired cams with a phillips head screw-driver to allow you a 6", 12" or 24" long log. A great addition to the 16" and 18" wheel that I already have. This is a much better value.
