The 12V cord is long enough to run around the dash, however I chose not to do that. The software leaves MUCH to be desired. I am not sure what language its written in but, it crashes frequently. I will try it out one more night, and try the software on other computers just to make sure its not a problem with my laptop, but if it continues to crash, this whole device will be useless to me.Final thought:I feel like this is something I could have purchased on eBay for $20. This is not worth the sale price of $169.99, or especially the list price of $249.99. I might be returning this if I cant get the software to work properly.

Video isn't super great and the wires are a pain but it works great. I already made a folder I call bad drivers on my computer and it's full of idiots driving poorly. My main reason for buying this is I had a traffic accident where I Was at fault and when the people sued me they had a different person driving the car and the car I hit wasn't even the same car. From that day on I swore never to drive without a camera. this one works great for me now. Hopefully new cars will start having front and back installed at factory level.

Finally a Good Dash-cam !!
I have only been using it for two weeks and so far im really impressed!!First the device itself is very sleek & strudy, not a big clunky ugly device like i had b4.Secondly the recording quality is amazing - its clear inside & the outside view & the sound is good as well.Last & most important the videos are as easy to retrive as plugging in a micro sd card into my computer and seeing the clips by clicking at time frames!!Amazing product would highly recommend

great product! got 1 for myself and several other as gifts. everyone is very happy with this dash cam. it saved me a few times from getting unnecessary tickets. (a cop wanted to give me a ticket for being on my phone, which i wasn't. i told him i have a camera to prove me innocent, all of a sudden he became mr nice guy and almost apologized!) definitely saves from a lot of aggravation. the recordings and sound is very clear. very easy to operate. looks nice n sleek in the car. not a big machine. overall would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good, clear, easy to use dash cam.ps my dash cam is almost 2 years old already and still going strong!

DO NOT CHANGE EVENT RECORD TIME SETTING! OTHERWISE, WORKS FINE
It's clear. GPS is accurate. Software is pretty good.But if you change the settings (e.g., changing the event record time from the default 10sec to 15sec), the device will give error: the LEDs will do alternating blinks and shut off, then repeat.. It took me a while to figure it out: I thought my SD card/card reading mechanism was broken: I bought new card and it did the same error and shutoff. I guessed it might be the settings, so I changed back the settings (e.g., the event record time) back to default Voila, it works again.Another thing: it would have been better if there is a separate rear camera (although there is a video-in port on the device for that) that can be attached to the license plate that can really see the road condition behind the car.

Great dash cam..customer service was excellent very helpful answered quickly to all questions..and the software to view the video on both side works good...use a 32 gb class 4 or 6 micro sd card (I had problems with a class 10)

It's a great design and the GIS software that comes with it ...
Used it for two months and then it started turning itself on and off. It's a great design and the GIS software that comes with it is quite good. I just wish it still works. I got what I paid for, I guess.
