The Ultimate Test of Patience and Palate (5/5 Stars)
If you're a serious chilehead, a DIY hot sauce artisan, or a gardener looking for the ultimate bragging rights, these are the only seeds you need. The Red Carolina Reaper—the former Guinness World Record holder, averaging over 1.6 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) with peaks exceeding 2.2 million SHU—is not just a pepper; it's an experience. This review is for those who respect the heat but are truly after the reward of growing the world's most infamous chili.

Carolina Reaper Hot Peppers (Red) World's Hottest Pepper Seeds (45 Seeds)
Peppers are just coming out of the ground. I count 80%+ are sprouting up. First time trying a seed starter kit and everything is working as it should. Check back this fall and I'll give you the results.

Fake seeds!!! Don’t order
Definitely not reapers, look like red habaneros, after reading other reviews I expected this but sucks I planted these in Florida in December had to wait till May to find out they’re not reapers. Will add pics if can but reapers are very distinct with wrinkly skin and a devil tail…..these arent

These are hot and fresh
OK, I think I left a previous review of these pepper seeds that was absolutely wrong and I give my sincerest apologies to the seller. I ate a seed right out of the package and it wasn't hot at all, so I assumed that they weren't really Carolina Reaper peppers... (I grew some "Carolina Reaper" plants from someone else and they were definitely NOT Reapers). I was hopeful when I saw these starting to grow in my Aerogarden with the typical Habanero shape and then turn red. I just cut the first ripe one open, bravely bit off about 1/4" and I'm still paying the price for it. Let me assure you that these are the real deal. I hope to be able to feel something other than fire on my tongue soon.

Seeds received were not seeds purchased...
Update: None of the seeds produced the peppers advertised. All three varieties (sold as Carolina Reaper, Scorpion Pepper, and Purple Ghost Pepper) grew into what appear to be standard red habanero peppers. Very disappointed, as I paid for specific high-heat varieties and did not receive them. Original: I planted these seeds with two other hot pepper varieties, and I’m seriously impressed - almost 100% germination. The growth is so vigorous that I’ll be repotting soon, since the leaves are expanding quickly and competing for space and light. A bonus packet of garden greens was included, which was a nice touch, though those haven’t germinated as well despite multiple seeds per cell. Still, the Carolina Reaper seeds themselves are thriving - highly recommend for any pepper grower.
