The Govee Outdoor Deck Lights exceeded my expectations. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels solid and weather-resistant—perfect for long-term outdoor use. The lights themselves are bright, vibrant, and offer a wide range of colors and effects through the Govee app.I especially love the ability to schedule lighting scenes and adjust brightness levels with ease. Whether you’re going for a cozy ambiance or something more festive, these lights deliver. They instantly elevated the look of my patio and are a hit with guests. If you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor space with smart, reliable lighting, this set is a fantastic choice.

I will say for being outside for almost a year I am quite impressed on how these lights have held up. Build quality seems to hold up, the light output and color rendition is right on and the fact that I can see these on my home assistant instance makes these worth it. The app took some getting used to but once I figured out how it works I was able to achieve my goal. The only limitation is the automations portions, needs a little bit more work on conditional statements and the ability to add those statements to conditions. For example have the lights run this scene at a set time but when motion is detected by their motion sensor run this scene and when motion expires say after 5 min run scene set originally. But that’s the app not this product which is why I give the product 5 stars. Had an issue with the power adapter going bad but Govee support took care of it quite fast. I am impressed. Will buy more! Picture is with lights at 5% brightness, providing a nice ambient glow. Had fun with them during the holidays.

Setup & Installation: I’m not handy so I hired a handy man. Took the guy almost 3 hours to install. Not sure if he did this in purpose.Features & PerformanceOnce connected to the Govee Home app, the fun began. The lights are super customizable:You can set scenes (like “sunset glow” or “rainbow wave”).You can create your own color patterns.You can dim the light set it as bright as you want. All on the app.You can sync them to music, which is a fun party trick.They even have scheduling options, so they turn on automatically at dusk.DurabilitySo far, they’ve held up perfectly through wind, rain, and desert dust. They’re rated IP67 waterproof, and I’ve had no flickering or dimming even after a few rough wind storms here. That’s a huge win.They’ve totally changed the vibe of my backyard, and I get compliments constantly. Great for entertaining, relaxing, or just making your patio feel like an outdoor lounge.It’s quite pricey so wait until Amazon prime day to get it. I regretted for not waiting until Prime day.I set my light very dim like in the picture on daily basis since these could get very bright and I don’t want my neighbors complaining about how bright they are.

Like the lights and easy to use and change via Alexa. If you are handy, easy to shorten/remove extra wire between lights for a cleaner look, but make sure to get the polarity correct.If mounting on beveled siding, use a piece of inverted siding to level the lights and have them point down properly otherwise you end up with the lights shining out and not washing the wall properly.

I own a lot of different Govee lights. I currently use 3 of these on my fence. They look awesome and are super bright. The different settings look amazing. I very happy with the look and ease of use. Give them a shot.

Do not buy this. Outdoor lights with an indoor plug. First bit of rain fried the wall plug. Should have a rain safe plug when marketed as outdoor lights. Very disappointing.Aside from that, the lights are excellent. I am disappointed that I will need to spend money on a new outlet plug in order to use them. Very inconvenient to have to take it out and unplug it, bring it inside for every use. Unfortunate for an otherwise good product.

Everyone asks me about these lights whenever they visit. I’m super happy with them after installing them.The install process is a little tedious, and I am not a fan of how the cable needs to be wrapped in order to “string these along.” If your plug is on the right side of where these are installed then you actually lose inches on this thing for ever set you connect, which ultimately means you lose feet… my install of these included a plug on both the right side and left side, so my run on the left turned out longer than my run on the right for the same amount of lights.Overall the best part is, once they are set up, it’s super easy to choose colors and program these. I run them every night from about 5:30pm (in the winter) until 7:30am and our electric bill hasn’t gone up significantly based on this (we’re talking a few dollars).I hope these last for a very long time. They’re so fun and add a bit of security to our backyard!

Got these for the backyard so that we could see our dog out there. However, these are great for any occasion. They are easy to use with the app and create a nice outdoor environment at night.
