Sophisticated and professional.
This is a gorgeous classic design, one of my favourite Hobonichi a6 diaries. Simple and elegant.

The Best Out There
Not cheap but pure quality. Holds fountain ink very well too. I've been journaling since the early 80s and have been using these for many years. Highly recommended.

Great Tool!!
My second in a row. Use it daily to track habits and tasks and to make little notes about where my head’s at and where I want it to be. Has become a part of my morning routine. The paper is sublime - nice for fountain pens. May seem a little pricey but it’s so well-designed I don’t mind paying - plus it lasts a whole year. And it’s exquisitely finished…

Lovely planner/journal
Bought as a gift for my husband who likes to journal in these. As it is being kept for a keepsake, I feel it is worth the price. The brand has become iconic over the past decade, but the paper has changed. He uses a fairly fine pen and a medium one, in it and has experienced very slight bleed through with the medium nib, like pin pricks almost. So the paper isn’t as good as it used to be. But still a lovely journal.

Compact and well designed diary
It's a lovely small diary. Works well with fountain pens.

Too small
You need really good eyesight to use this size hobonichi.

The best planner
Love this planner as it is so lightweight and you get a full page for everyday. Expensive but worth it especially if you travel a lot. Glad Amazon stock it as it can be hard to get hold of.

Though it’s end of June, my other planner is too complex to maintain. This A6 is perfect for personal/business planning and journaling. I like the HON so no upselling for covers to cover the cover. Only addition would be a band to keep the pencil board (optional) and little sticky notes (all Japanese) from falling out. Best thing about Japanese planners is that they lay flat when open 180 degrees. Great value, beautiful Tomoe paper. I use the yearly index as a Gantt chart; monthly calendars as a syllabus for each day + dr appts + meetings/webibars; daily pages for study questions I answered incorrectly and why then when my work picks up it’ll serve as my assignments planner. I’ll use the 100 list as my projects list. This set up is succinct. The size is small enough for a messenger bag small pocket; purse pocket; tote bag. It’s thick so I don’t know if it would fit a pants pocket. Update: I’ve created my Kakeibo in the back of the Techo using the red dot grid pages: one page per month! Now I have what I need and it’s all in one a6 Techo

I've been using planners for a long time (since daytimers first came out) and wish I had found this a lot sooner. This my second year using my hobonichi. I love the paper feel and weight. Also, the way the pen glides. It is just the right size to be able to comfortably pull it out and make quick notes on the fly. The only thing I would change would be to have a lower price, but it does not deter me from buying. It is a quality product and given the portability I can whip it out for quick notes, but sturdy enough to not show a lot of wear and tear from using it several times a day.
