2 pillows in the set with the covers, one side of the cover is made of the cooling material. I have my own pillow case covered as well, keeping it cool and making it comfortable as well. The material inside the pillows is not goose down or something like that, seems like some shredded foam. I took some of foam to make the pillows thinner and lower to fit my neck more.
