I purchased this unit so I could test an AGM battery that constantly had issues. I learned alot about AGM batteries while researching battery chargers and battery tester. The Foxwell tester showed me exactly what was wrong with my battery. The unit is very easy to use and provides test results quickly. It is very sturdy. Clamps and cable heavy duty. It is definitely not built cheap. It has several testing options to choose from including testing your charging system. I like that it is powered by the battery you are working on as soon as you hook up the pos/neg terminals. Very happy with this tester. Decent price.

This is yet another incredible product from Foxwell. This gadget performs multiple tests which are critical for diagnosing an electric issue with either your starter, alternator or battery. The settings are easy to use. Battery life is excellent as it's powered by the battery you're seeking to test. It's completely phantom powered. The accuracy of the unit when comparing it to more expensive testers is on par. This unit offers more utility features and tests that more expensive units fail to offer. The value for the money is incredible here. If you're a DIY mechanic, shade tree mechanic, weekend warrior or professional, don't miss out.

The product worked as advertised. I have tried it on many types of batteries, and it seems to have functioned well. It was what I wanted. Very easy to use. Directions could have been better. I would recommend it to others.

Provides accurate info

I was having issues with my old car not starting sometimes. Car batter was relatively new so I thought I might have a bad diode issue. Got this tester to try and find the issue myself, worked well to identify that my battery was bad. Replaced the battery and car has been starting without issue.

I work at an auto parts chain store and regularly test customer’s vehicle batteries. The instruments we have cost $400 to $600. The performance of this little unit compares favorably with those expensive units. As I have several vehicles, a motorcycle, a 4 wheeler and a generator, there are a lot of batteries to take into the store to check their health. Testing at home saves a lot of time and hassle. I only buy a new battery when it does not recover performance after giving it a full charge cycle. If you are on the fence, jump off and buy this one. It works very well for me. Oh, and use the low amperage battery maintainers on batteries that sit unused for a few weeks or longer. Keeping those lead acid batteries fully charged gives me 6 to 8 years of service, saving me plenty of money. YMMV

Very easy to use and understand , after charging my battery and testing it , the result was confirmed by the tester cranking was low compare of what the battery was suppose to give .

Tested 2 batteries,1 good 1 bad. Both tested the way they should. Only 4 stars because although it tests a 6v battery, it doesn't do a capacity test leaving it kind of useless for testing 6v RV batteries
