Medal is large (for men but i wear mine and its definately a statement item. The detail os impressive and the 3D representation of St Michael is unique, impressive, and stunning. I chose the 925 silver for its value and weight, plus its metal properties as far as ability ti maintain a luster or patina depending on personal preferences, allow the unique detail to standout and aging only willl enhance. Unloke a ring or flat medal pendant it shouid not have the hard daily surface wear or continual exposure to water/soap and general surface contact wear and tear which erodes the metal. And being 925 silver througout the solid peice (excluding the chain which is indicated in the description, and although its states solid pure 925 silver and is marked on the item itself, i have not yet taken to a jeweler to test or examine, one small spot of bubbling/smelt/ or other burnt impurity on back (near the joint to the loop it hangs on which i assumed was silver but may be considred a seperate amendment but soldered or spot weld). The gold choice is also beautiful but for me has a more subdued presentation and may be more traditional for a religious medal and still quite beautifuk. It was a difficukt choice and beung thid impressed with the item, i may ourchsse thst as well. For its religious significance (and faith which it is significantly well thought in this uncommon yet almost ominous impactful yet artistically exquisite moving presentation. The objective quality is impressive alone. Details are so well done I would have guessed a hand made lengthy meticulous process. For its esthetics its beyond anything i have seen availble , and even more so in this price range. Costs a little more than the average highly rated choices but the aesthetics are way more impressive than even items 10 times this price. Finally the spiritual purpose is spot on all inclusive multi dimensional multi curative panacea statement piece and 5+ star item.

The orthodox cross I must say is extremely nice. The detail of the cross mostly matched what was in the product picture. The extra fine details are hard to see with the naked eye but the majority of it is clear. The finish/color made it more antique and authentic feel rather than a super shiny pendant. Testing the sterling silver properties, it did not react to magnet and has the stamp 925 so have to presume it is authentic sterling silver. The size is big so if one is wanting a larger pendant this is it. If you are looking for a orthodox cross smaller than your thumb look elsewhere. So far no tarnish but I clean my sterling silver on regular basis and no tarnish still. For the overall size and detail I would say it is in the appropriate price range at the time I bought it. Overall extremely satisfied.

A very beautiful St Michael the Archangel necklace. I look forward to replacing the chain soon because it is a little lightweight and I am pretty rough on chains, watches....etc. I am going to have mine blessed asap. I do like it a lot.
