Superb mouse to go with my SUPERB Elite keyboard
Last week i managed to snap up the HyperX Alloy Elite RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, for only £62.50 on a day only deal within the black Friday 2 week deals(ruddy bargain!) on Amazon, so i also needed a new mouse so ordered the HyperX Pulsefire Surge RGB Gaming Mouse for £29.99 aswell.Luckily for me the lead from the keyboard just went to the back of where my PC is situated, and even more luckily for me the Elite keyboard comes with a USB pass through so i was able to plug the mouse into that!, with everything working AOK, phew!.I had a play around with the mouse settings that is quit easy to suss out but i wanted to change the colour to match my PC set up colour(anal i know lol). After going to the HyperX site it forced me to download the HyperX NGenuity app from the Web store ?. Anyway i did that but discovered that this app needs to open ALL the time for the chosen settings to work(there is no way for the app to let you save the settings on the mouses memory ?). Anyway part 2 - I then went back to the HyperX site to get the HyperX NGenuity exe program for my Elite keyboard and to my de-lite i noticed i can change all the colours/settings for the mouse in there as well. So i got red of the stupid "app" version and just used the exe one. For the keyboard and mouse i can now set the 3 option types to my liking and they both save the info in its own memory!. As you can see by the 2 pics i have one for showing off the colour wave light show, and the other purple and green to match my PC RGB when looking through the glass side window.Love the button on the top to change the DPI speed right away and also holding the same button plus a click of the wheel or the side buttons to change the saved RGB combo/brightness(after setting them up with NGenuity before of coarse).I am waiting for a big mouse matt but it glides so smooth on the desk top and the pointer on the screen is so precise with the movement(even at the top DPI 3200, amazing)A easy 5 STARS, frikken AWESOME!

Great value at £30
Is this the greatest mouse on the face of the earth? No. Is it cracking value as a gaming plus general use mouse? Absolutely.Said mouse is large enough to be comfortable in my big bloke right hand, glides very nicely, and is pretty accurate in the grand scheme of things. The weight's just about right for me, although it may feel a bit heavy for some. It may also be a bit on the large side for small hands. The configurable DPI button is a bit fiddly for me to hit mid-fight so if that's part of your playstyle this might not be the ideal mouse for you (unless you've got a supernumerary mini-digit between you index and middle finger, that is). The forward and back thumb buttons, however, are pretty much perfectly placed for me.Clearly don't buy this if you need a bazillion buttons because, well, it doesn't have a bazillion buttons.Oh, and it's got configurable lights, which are fantastic if you've got an eye in the palm of your right hand (in which case you're protected from evil spirits ... bonus!), and one on the end of the aforementioned supernumerary digit, or merely like staring at your mouse rather than using it as a pointing device. I suppose they could be handy for locating it in a smoke-filled room thereby allowing you to activate the fire extinguishers which, for whatever reason, are controlled via your PC ... but other than that they're more than a bit pointless.

Very capable mouse for the price
Honestly, for the price, this mouse is awesome. It feels sturdy, responds quickly, and the RGB lighting is a nice bonus. Perfect if you want a reliable gaming mouse without breaking the bank

Brilliant Mouse
After 3 years of owning this mouse and using it 8 hours+ every day, I had to buy another because the scroll wheel became loose and a little erratic.I can't complain - it's been brilliant and I suppose it's general wear and tear. I bought another identical one because I like it so much, the latest one is a slightly newer revision of the device so maybe that issue won't reoccur.I'm not a big fan of the ngenuity software though, so I try not to use it, but I'm not really gaming with it so I haven't been bothered about doing anything fancy like changing the colour of the mouse depending on ammo/health which is a thing I *think* the software will do, but do you own research

Great performance and lighting!
The media could not be loaded. This mouse has solid build quality and is comfortable to hold. It's very responsive due to the pixart 3389 sensor, and at 100g weight it's neither too light or heavy. The DPI, polling rate, button assignments and lighting can all be controlled via the hyperx ngenuity software which I personally had no issues setting up. The lighting is a particular highlight for me, it's bright, uniform and has plenty of customisation options. I bought it on sale for £36, well worth it!

Worthy of a review
It's just what I want from a mouse, here are a few points which I enjoy the most.1) It's delightful to look at, the RGB is smooth and bright.2) It glides on the pad like it's made entirely of semi-melted butter.3) It's pinpoint accurate, the Pixart 3389 is a joy to behold. Even cruising around windows, you can instantly notice.4) I've come from the Logitec 403 which was like pushing the House-brick of Notre Dame around the desktop, with that being said, the Pulsefure is aimed at the smaller hand.5) It has just the right amount of weight, you know it's there but without being taxing on the wristI took a risk really, I feel £49.99 is a bit wild for a mouse but I really do feel like I've got something special, everything about it is premium. No-brainer is you're playing fps on the regular.
