This helped at concerts. I liked being able to twist in ear to adjust the volume. I liked I cold clearly hear lyrics. It was interesting how different instruments varied in volume, guitar more muted than violin. I was surprised that sound 30 yards away could be easier than the person next to me speaking. I ve not tried other brands to compare bur I like that it came with tips and a case. It wasn't clear to me from the description but I got 2 sets of plugs, 2 right and 2 left. They feel comfortable enough to sleep on side with. I like how it cut down on lobhy crowd noise. More calming. There are likely more uses than I've thought of.
