Works great

I like almost every thing about it except for the cheezie frame. The frame is very light weight thin steel with 1/4 inch bolts holding it together. I have not used it yet but I can see that I will have to take my time when pressing because the jack can very easy over power the frame. So If I put something under pressure I know i will need allow plenty of time between jacks and watch the frame for stress or it will buckle or break. If the frame does not work out I can fabricate a stronger frame from galvanized pipe or heavy box steel. I like the pans and press plate, very nice stainless stuff. Mostly I will be pressing out primary fermentation bags of grapes so not supper difficult stuff like raw apples ground up. I only paid $180 so I think it is worth it even if I need to strengthen it.

First off, the customer service was excellent however, the jack that was sent (twice) never worked right. They sent me another jack right away when the first one didn't work. They even posted a video when I asked because their product didn't have instructions.However, the insert in which the jack sat on wasn't level. It was slightly too big for perorated container. I ended up sending it back. (Note, I am not talking about the little shelf that the jack fits on. I am talking about the cylinder that actually crushes the material.) I was also pretty nervous about the jack shelf. It just sat on top of the cylinder and wasn't attached to anything at all. The jack is pretty heavy and I thought it would just slide off the shelf. Unless they fix these manufacturing issues, I wouldn't recommend buying this machine. I never got to use it so I can't say if it actually works.

I am curious to learn what the fine mesh bag is for that came with the honey press. I can't find access to the seller so I hope someone out there can tell me what it is used for.The press itself looks and feels very well built and durable. I am looking forward to using it once I get the hang of it. If someone could tell me about the bag I would appreciate. BTW.. I already got the double strainer pans.
